“You mean the hauntings?” Seraphina leaned in, curious. “I think I heard a little about that. What exactly is going on?” I nodded and took another sip of juice. “Some of the servants say they see ghostly figures floating around the estate at night. Pale shapes moving through the gardens or near the windows. A few have even heard soft whispers when no one is there. Everyone is quite scared and shocked by it.” Zoe shivered a little even though the day was warm. “Do you think ghosts are real? I have never seen one, but my mother used to tell stories about spirits that could not rest.”

The ghost had spoken. And he was real.

Why did he look at her as if he were starving? The candle on her bedside table flickered, even though there was no breeze. Her skin erupted in goosebumps. She didn’t believe in ghost stories, not really. But she knew danger. And Lucien was the definition of it. She had grown up hearing stories of the Ravagers—ancient beings who fed on more than blood. Their touch burned. Their presence altered fate. But those were myths. Warnings. Fairy tales meant to keep girls from wandering too far from the village. Right?

“Just because there’s a missing baby around Anton’s age and Anton can breathe under water…what makes you think it’s him?” “Oh, people just started conflating the stories,” Laila says as she leans back in her chair. “The long-awaited Prince who brings back one of our most treasured magics? And the missing Prince? I guess it was just too good of a tale to resist. Miranda replied. "Is that so?" The ghost questioned. Miranda nodded and then she said, "they're not real. Just fairy tales, and a good character to use to win money off teenaged girls. I mean do you know how much money was made because of Edward Cullen?" The ghost nodded and released a dry, sarcastic chuckle. "You're talking to a ghost. Would you say I'm not real?" The ghost pointed to her chest. "Well, I- I mean-" "Save it." The ghost expressed with a raise of her palm.

“She should probably start with the stories Nana always loved to tell her. Those are the type that might be illegal.” “What the hell, Tate. Why are you out here ratting out Nana like that?” “Tell me,” I say, ignoring her fake annoyance with Tatum. “Everyone has heard of ghost wolves,” she starts with a sigh. “But no one ever talks about what they are, how they came to be.” “All I recall hearing was that they were wandering wolves who lost their mates.” I shrug and Tatum shakes her head. “No, they are a ghost of themselves because they never found their mates.” Tatum corrects me and I roll my eyes. “Our moms always argued about that bit when they would try to scare us with the stories.”

"Everyone has a story, Joan. It's part of the tradition.." I looked at Emily. She smiled encouragingly at me. The room fell silent as they waited for me to begin. I took a deep breath, searching my mind for a story. I remembered a story my mom told me when I was younger. “There was once an old mansion far away from a hidden, forgotten town,” I began “It was said to be haunted by the spirit of a young woman. The woman was a bride who had died on her wedding night.” Sarah and Emily gasped.

An actual ghost was standing in front of me, which means the ghost story was real and the only people I know to wear all-white outfits are ghosts. The ghost tried to touch me, but I moved backward and tripped over my luggage. To cut the story short, I landed on my butt. "Miss Hillary, are you alright?" The ghost asked me. The ghost could talk. I haven't seen Ghost Talk except in movies and novels, and they are not actual ghosts. "You..." I pointed to the ghost. "How are you talking right now?" I questioned the ghost.

The second his eyes landed on that video, he felt it, that burning sensation as it rippled through his veins, causing his blood to pump faster and his heart termored. When he was six he had thought his great grandmother mad when she would often tell these tales of Merfolks, dragons, fairies, elves, whispering ghosts, who lived in a beautiful city under the sea and how they were real… she said the whispering ghosts often lure men and women under the sea…. trap then suck their souls, they would sink ships and flood trespassing islands.

I started the journey, I walked for two hours, and I wasn’t scared as I had my sword, my backpack and myself. I got to the river. I was thinking of sleeping there but then I started hearing voices and it seemed like the cold night river. I have heard about that river and how it can be. It is a place where spirits roam but it is famous for the Tell Tale spirit. The Tell-Tale spirit is a spirit that appears to tell you your future and it is always bad, it rarely comes out though, it has been disregarded as one of those old stories. I turned around to get away from the river and then it became extremely foggy all of a sudden and cold too, fear gripped me immediately and I knew I was in for it.
