Not divided.” Silas’s expression darkened slightly. “And now?” “Now it’s broken,” I said. “Split into pieces.” Kael looked at the fragment again. “And this is one of them.” “Yes.” Silas’s grip tightened slightly. “How many?”

* The sound wasn't the breaking of glass; it was the **shattering of pixels**. Where her finger made contact, the "High-Definition" reality of the Editor began to fracture. The gold didn't dent; it turned into a mosaic of jagged, colorful squares—the "Raw Data" beneath the "Skin." The white light inside the frame bled out, turning into a muddy grey static. The giant let out a sound like a hard drive crashing. Its massive arm began to "Clip" through its own body, the physics of its construction failing as Elara’s touch introduced a "Fatal Error" into its existence.

Inside was a dream; tall walls, open space, windows so big you could see everything yet nothing at all. The isolation of the property both excited and scared me, and the longer I walked around holding Armani’s hand, the more I began to feel a little hopeful again. My concerns over the last day felt silly — presumptuous. Though a part of my brain was still very aware that this could turn sour very quickly, I allowed myself to enjoy this simple few minutes with my fake husband and even smile, just a little bit.

“Yeah, no. That’s definitely spreading.” Jamal didn’t move. “What kind of fragmentation?” he asked. I was already watching it and already feeling it. “It’s not breaking randomly,” I said. “It’s separating possibilities.” Leila’s eyes narrowed. “Explain.” I pointed. “Look.” The nearest fracture shimmered. Not empty, not dark but layered. Within it, I could see faint impression like reflections that didn’t quite belong to our reality. A street… slightly different. A building… angled another way.

Though he has stopped monitoring the island every moment… The world that was crazed with digitalization had finally learnt to take a break, to talk, to love, to feel, to unplug but how long this change will last only future can tell…. They are corrupting me.” The infiltrator’s head snapped toward Rhea’s projection. “You are fragmented,” they said. “Incomplete. If you rise in your current state, you will collapse under your own weight. I am stabilizing your substrate. You should thank me.” Rhea’s holographic glow dimmed. “I cannot trust their intentions.”
