Chapter 2: First Sparks of Heat Rebecca arrived at the institute early the next morning. Her heart beat fast as she walked down the quiet hall to room three. She wore a loose top and soft pants like Liam had suggested. Comfortable clothes for movement. Last night she tried the breathing exercises alone in bed. Her fingers had brushed her breasts and neck. Rebecca looked up at Liam standing against the light, placing her name back where it belonged without hesitation. I didn't need this shit so early in the morning. "Mm... you seen the little Blossom yet?" Tyler laughed. Fuck sake. Blossom was a girl from the Blood Moon pack, her father was their former Alpha and her brother had taken over 4 years ago when he was 21. She was small, and sweet. Her hair was always tied up in a ribbon and she was always reading... or doing work. She never really spoke to anyone. I'd only ever seen her with two people. Opposite the river, fireworks lit up the sky in magnificent blooms. Rebecca became attracted by the light that shone through the window and reflected in her eyes. The fireworks cheered her up at once. When the fireworks were close to dying out, her phone suddenly lit up beside her. She cast a glance at it. Rebecca hadn't made friends since she recovered. In the past four years, she was either with David, having fun with Ellen, or re-familiarizing herself with the world.
