How—' The woman smiled, sad and sharp. 'Not Elowen, not fully. Mira. Reborn through the bloodline, the curse's echo. I waited for this.' Revelation slammed me; my sister, my lover in twisted past lives, pulling strings from death. Emotions surged—betrayal, longing, rage. 'You? All this time? The pact, the rage—you did this to me!' I surged up, fists clenched, the grove's magic pressing back like invisible hands.

“You’re mine, Vivian.
