The box itself had a painting resembling a spider on the lid… Following that, Rey slowly opened the wooden box… Revealing a single black bead. “The item they were after… is this bead!” said Rey as he handed the box to Gerald. Taking the box, Gerald then stared at the black bead… and barely a second later, the bead momentarily glowed red! Seeing that, both of them exchanged glances with each other. It appeared that both of them had witnessed the same thing.

"Morien—what?" I glance down. It looks like a beetle, only it’s too big, about the size of my fist. It’s too dark, like coal. Its antennas are too long. And it’s vomiting blood from its mouth. "Ah!" I scream. Jaden rushes first to me. "What the hell is this?" Lux comes next. "Nobody touches it. That is, it's a—" She’s panicking. Morien pushes her aside, quickly cuts off a branch stem, and pushes the beetle from my leg to the ground. Then he breathes fire on it.

Immediately she got back on her feet, Rebekah's punch met her mouth, and Rue flew to the ground, landing in a colony of ants. The soldiers of ants shrouded her, biting viciously while she screamed and cursed. Juliet quickly went to pull her out, and Axel joined Rebekah. Jointly, they carried Pearl out of the cave, and Roonie took slow calculated steps to Rook who's still looking like he was struck by lightning. Rook couldn't move till he got to him and brought the phone out of his pocket. The FaceTime with Master X is still ongoing, and the man is currently smiling callously.

Drake growled. Suddenly, his eyes turned red; he was fuming mad as he transformed. He runs towards the rouge, who transforms into a werewolf and mercilessly scratches his back. He wasn’t contented; he attacked the rouge, and then Drake beheaded the rouge until it transformed into a human, lying on the ground, lifeless. They fought the other rouge and howled angrily. “That’s for poisoning my stray!” Drake gritted his teeth as he beheaded them all. Beta Dillon picked up the poison's antidote and gave it to the alpha.

Once Leto was done speaking, he dug out a black bottle made of clay from his pocket. As soon as he uncorked the bottle, a seven-spotted beetle that was the size of a thumb crawled out of the bottle. The beetle was completely black. Its eyes glowed in a shade of eerie blue. It was also coated in dark green fluid, making it look extremely disgusting.

When you’ve hunted for the mafia, killed people they didn’t want to bloody their hands with, and taken out whole families, nothing sane remained. The little shit fired off a sloppy shot as I came at him. His movements were slow, almost clumsy - a reminder of his human frailty. And I dodged the bullet, not that it would’ve mattered much since my pain tolerance and healing ability were far above average. She murmured, “It feels like it injected me with something.” A cold and tingling sensation travelled up her arm. She shivered. Reynard knelt down, picked up the metal beetle and looked at it thoroughly. “There’s some kind of pink substance in it.” Suki breathed, “I thought that was a jewel or something. It was liquid?” He nodded, carefully turning the metal contraption around and around between his index finger and thumb to inspect it. “Are you feeling okay?” Brendan asked. She sighed and nodded. “I think so, whatever it was, I don’t think it had any wolfbane in it. It doesn’t burn.”
