He didn’t dare to open his eyes to look at the female grudgeful ghost, thinking that it was too scary. At the next second, the female ghost released another red ribbon from her other hand. This time, the red ribbon flew toward Rey.

To the surprise of the crowd, a door to the ship’s cabin burst open and three actors dressed like crewmen came running out. They went to the ship’s railing and with hands cupped around their mouths, shouted for help. The rolling drums announced the arrival of something sinister and smoke came out of the door from which the crewmen came out. Then, a dark figure walked out slowly. The crowd gasped upon seeing the figure’s eyes which glowed red like embers. He was wearing a mask meant to represent the Ember Ghost and on the mask’s eyes were affixed two light bulbs that glowed eerily red.

I entered his room in my second invisible form that even though he sees ghosts he won't be able to see me. He was shirtless! Wow! Such a big chest with six bony stuff on his belly. I don't know what those are but I anyway kept watching. He was about to pull off his shorts but suddenly stopped. "Get out of my room this minute or our deal is off!" He shouted "How did you know I was here?" I asked, bewildered. "That's none of your business, leave before I change my mind and call off our deal!" He stared hostilely in my direction and that was when I noticed his eyes colors were dark green.

A loud gasp escaped my lips when I saw it. It was a ghost. A teenage girl who looked no older than fifteen. She had wavy blonde hair and dull green eyes. There was a horrible wound on her chest. Someone had ripped her heart out of her chest. Now, her chest was more or less, a gaping hole. Tears pricked my eyes at the sight of the girl. I'm a necromancer and it's normal for me to be able to see ghosts and spirits but it's been quite a while since I saw one.

I lifted my stiff legs and inched toward the corner, but my foot landed on something hard and round at the worst moment possible. A sharp, piercing screech rang out beside me. When I quickly lifted my foot to take a look, I noticed it was a bloody eyeball, which gave me such a fright that I recoiled back several steps. This was something I would normally only see on late-night TV. A ghost skittered over in a twisted, broken crawl, scooped up the eyeball, and popped it back into its socket. To suppress the scream in my throat, I pinched myself to stay focused, but the ghost had noticed me.

“What the actual fuck.” ‘Ghosts don’t bleed,’ my wolf whispered, low and grim. ‘But something’s bleeding into her. And it knows too much.. And again her necklace glowed .’ I dragged a hand through my hair, chest tight, my eyes darting once more to the portrait. Blue. Green. Blue. I didn’t know what unsettled me more.. Elara’s slip… or the fact that, for the briefest second, I swore the painted eyes had changed color.

Even though Alice had been on several missions with them, having hunted down phantom-beasts before, the girl had a faint heart towards gore and bloody images. Akasuki’s reason behind digging out the phantom-beast’s eyeballs was to show proof to the guild. One sure way to show evidence that one had defeated a phantom-beast was to pluck out their eyes. Once a phantom-beast had been defeated, the whites of their eyes darkened and became jet black while the irises remained a glowing luster of blood-red.

Arriving there, the surroundings were dark as it looked like construction had not yet begun in that area. Cael looked at Kyra as she grabbed him in his hand. Kyra’s nail almost sank into Cael’s skin. Standing next to Kyra was a ghost woman with no eyes, with tears of blood and her lips pressed to her ear and whispering. ‘Help her.’ Kyra closes her eyes and her whole body trembles. That ghost was weird, so she was very close to Cael. Kyra didn’t look back, but she nodded at the female ghost. “Kyra, what happened?” Cael asked.

That beautiful voice, distorted by pain and surprise. Mom. My eyes go wide as it all comes back; the pain, the sorrow, the hurt. The tears begin to flow as the ghost hurries to its destination. I can remember every detail now; the way those creatures had searched him... when his eyes turned a frightening red... He finally reached me, barely more than a breath of air, charging towards my chest. However, the ghost bounced back, my body suddenly surrounded by a strange glow. What is it? It's green and shiny, like the emerald on my ring, almost like one of those auras I've heard about in fantasy books.
