I thank Cade for the reminder and leave to make all the arrangements for the wedding. I instruct everyone to play their parts, make a dozen calls, and for the final touch, I choose my wedding dress, red as the fire from hell, big and gorgeous to fit the new ruler of hell.

We were determined to make our move before it was too late. As we stealthily made our way inside, I felt like I was in one of those dramatic telenovelas, and I was the female lead ready to rain hell on the villains. It felt euphoric. The grandeur of the wedding only fueled my determination to crash it. I won't let my man get trapped in a relationship with that snake. Spotting Charles at the altar, a knot formed in my stomach. The organ swelled, as if rejoicing. From that moment, preparations for the wedding began. Friends from every part of their lives came to lend a hand. Former members of Arthur’s old congregation, young souls from Isabella’s outreach, and new converts alike joined hands in creating a wedding that felt more like a revival. We stood in silence for a while, fingers interlaced.
