Igor noticed that his brother was very nervous and tense, next to his wife, even after they had taken the oath before the priest. Charles was sweating for no reason and for a moment he moved away from his wife. Igor approached Charles, being alone with him.

“Just like this wedding.” She folded her arms tightly, her rigid stance betraying her irritation. “If everyone truly desires peace, why not arrive without weapons? This is a wedding, not a war zone.” I raised an eyebrow at her reflection. “There have been red weddings in the past.” Ava’s face darkened as I pressed on. “Some brides didn’t survive the night with their gowns still pristine.” From the bed, Rosy trembled, her voice a mere whisper. “That won’t happen today, right?”
