My eyes scanned the room again, weakly, searching for any clue, any hint of what was going on. But there was nothing. Just as I was starting to feel desperate, his face appeared before me again, making me startle. I jerked back, my heart racing, as he asked, "What are you looking for? Wouldn't you like to know about me?" My fist shook as I gestured to him, trying to convey that I wanted to write, that I needed a paper and pen to communicate. His eyes widened as he stared at me, a look of surprise crossing his face.
