Instead, the stench hits first: smoke, sweat, cigars, and cologne trying and failing to cover the rot underneath. A poker game rages in the center, with women draped over each of the four men like ornaments. One looks up lazily, half-naked, laughing as a man slides a hand up her thigh. They don’t even pause when we enter.

So this book is actually a Regency romance about this very arrogant guy that fell in love with his maid and then instead of trying to woo her, he comes at her in force. So barbaric!” I held my head in total conservation at her.”Sandy, it's just a book and the writer doesn't mean for you to develop headaches while reading it. It's simply for your pleasure” I demonstrated with my hands. She muffled her face into a dark grimace “This ain't pleasure. I like it when a man woos a girl and not force his way into getting her into his bed that is totally outrageous!”

I was talking about the necklace's design with the maker when Rachel and Zacharias came in hand in hand. The sight of me filled her face with disdain. "What are you doing here?" As I lose myself in the tapestry of letters, I can’t help but picture Tanner as the dashing male lead. I bet he’d look delicious in one of those high-collared jackets and an ascot. Thump. A soft sound on the stairs jolts me from my drifting thoughts.
