Reid Criminal Minds Novels & Stories

His golden brown eyes shot up, and I could see him clench his fist—ready to throw a punch at me. Reid took a step forward, closing the gap between us. "I dare you to say that again." He gritted. Whatever emotions that was on his face, I didn't care. For my hundred years of living, I haven't given a fuck to know what their crazy emotions were about, but I did know I was hitting a nerve. "You fucking murderer," I called scornfully. "How dare you mother—" "Reid!" Someone shouted from behind, which made him stop—his fist hung in the air. As if recognizing the voice, Reid withdrew his hand while I remained standing staring, expecting his punch on my face as that would definitely mean him returnin

His hands were cold. The dread was absolute. Reid knew. Reid confirmed it. Reid had the DNA. Reid had every intention of stepping into Ethan’s life. And Natalie… Natalie had no idea. Adrian wiped a hand over his face and cursed under his breath. He never interfered directly. He never exposed things overheard. He never revealed shadows. But this? This was different. This could destroy everything. Her fragile mental state. Her obsession. Her delusions of being the “future Mrs. Reid Carter.”

The table was very quiet. "Reid is a loser who doesn't like losing," I said. "He doesn't want money, doesn't want the boutique, doesn't want anything strategic. He wants Estelle specifically, and he wants her in a situation where she has no options. He wants to humiliate us. Me, specifically." I paused. "Which means he's unstable. Which means this friend of his is managing an unstable person with unlimited resources and a fixation. Which makes him more dangerous than a rational actor and less predictable than I'd like."

He did not need a long, complicated explanation. Reid was a bad man who worked for money. He did not act on his own. He worked for whoever paid him the most. If Reed sent that video to destroy Adrian's trust in Elena, it meant someone with a lot of money and a mean plan was pulling his strings from the dark. And Adrian already had a very strong guess about who that person was. Adrian began to walk back and forth across the floor of his office again. His boots hit the hard wood in a steady, heavy rhythm.
