The Perks of Opening Up
Before I could answer, another voice called from behind me, "Whoa, hold your horses there, Professor. Is that appropriate?"
Morgan had somehow appeared behind me in a white collared shirt, carrying his backpack and a bag of freshly roasted chestnuts from my favorite shop. He stepped in front of me as though it were the most natural thing in the world.
"Maddie has already divorced you," he said. "You're harassing her."
Xavier frowned. "This doesn't concern you, McLeary."
Morgan tilted his head. "Why not? I like Maddie. I'm trying to woo her. You're trying to steal my girl right in front of me, so how does that not concern me?"
