REJECTED BY LOVE

REJECTED BY LOVE

“I do not think that I am ready to face the demons I have left behind in Blue Creek. I am truly sorry that you all came all the way.” Eloise, Stanley and Mary Lou share a look of disappointment. They all recognize this to be a lost cause and know that there is really nothing that they can say to Shirley that can convince her. Shirley apologizes to them profusely as they leave and when they share one more hug, Eloise wants to feel the same love that she felt when they arrived but it is absent. In its place is disappointment. The journey back to Blue Creek is much shorter to all three of them. They barely say much to one another and they do not make a rest stop at Huntington.

Once Rejected, Twice Desired

Once Rejected, Twice Desired

Alexi POV As Alaia walked into the room, I sucked in a breath. I didn’t want to have to face her yet. It hurt when I rejected her, but it damn near killed me when she accepted it without even putting up a fight. I didn’t get a moment of sleep that night; I just sat up in bed, thinking over my decision to reject the Moon Goddess’s most perfect gift. “She deserves someone better,” I told myself over and over. I wasn’t a good guy, I was tainted, and Alaia didn’t need to deal with all of my conquests sending her evil looks or petty remarks.

The Path of No Return

The Path of No Return

Mom packed up her things and waited at the beach with me in her arms. She had been happy at first, telling me stories as we waited. However, as the sun set, her expression fell. With what seemed like her last shred of hope, she made a call on her phone again. This time, no one picked up. I thought I saw Mom smile, yet tears were streaming down her face at the same time. Holding her hand, I asked cautiously, "Are you waiting for Dad, Mom?" Mom shook her head and stroked my cheek. "I was wrong, Yvonne. Never trust a man."

The Shadow Alpha

The Shadow Alpha

My senses were heightened as I searched for any imminent danger or wandering pack members, picking up the scents of a few of warriors whom I assumed to be the border patrol I took off in the opposite direction, towards the West border. I shifted mid-air, ripping the little clothing I wore to shreds and ran at the speed of lightning, pushing myself harder than I ever had before. I could still feel the burning pain of rejection, even though Devin had accepted me as his mate I could still feel the underlying pain of being rejected and I had no idea why. Every book that I’d read regarding mates and the mate bond said that the pain of rejection only goes away by accepting the rejection or the rej

I absolutely loved this book. I had a hard time putting it down. Well structured and well written. I'm looking forward to hopefully reading a sequel. I'd love to see what Mother Selene has in store for Allison.

2/3rd of this book was incredibly good. Then it started skipping and jumping ahead which made it feel like there were a lot of things left unsaid and unfinished, also quite a few things were left unanswered and so many questions remain. The ending was left in a cliffhanger and that was about 1yr ago

Doll Crimes

Doll Crimes

“Do you know how many kids would kill to go on road trips all the time?” How many kids would kill? I don’t know. Heading south, north. To the mountains, away from the sea. Riding high up in trucks with burly drivers who crack rude jokes and complain about their hemorrhoids in ways that make the stories funny. It’s not so bad. It’s not so bad at all. Like there’s a hand on my throat, but I’m laughing anyway. “Don’t think about it, babe,” Momma says. “All we have is now, and now is all that matters.” That hand on my throat. And I’m laughing.

VOLUME TWO: WINTER'S PATH Matt Holcomb Late July I knew before I even started my car this morning and made the two-hour trek to her house that today was not going to end how I'd hoped. Summer Quinn was supposed to be my salvation, and though she wouldn't be my ruin, the loss was going to thrust my life right back to what started my downward spiral in the first place.

Ruin Me, Alpha Step-Daddy

Ruin Me, Alpha Step-Daddy

Cold air from the open window hit my hot skin as we drove away from the hall, away from the laughter, away from everything that just destroyed me. The drive was quiet except for my shaky breathing. My body wouldn’t calm down. Every bump in the road sent sparks through me. I kept shifting in the seat, pressing my thighs together. At one point I reached over and put my hand on his thigh, sliding it higher, desperate for contact. Creed caught my wrist and moved it back to my lap. “Not tonight.” The third rejection made me curl into myself. I pressed my forehead against the cool window and cried silent tears while the moon kept burning me from the inside.

The Hundredth Rejection

The Hundredth Rejection

Little did he know, I was hunched over in excruciating pain from his silent rejection. The second time, the ritual didn’t go on because Anna had a craving for the pastries in the shop corner. Many incidents of a similar nature ensued. August was always absent, tending to Anna’s little requests. The suffering he put me through slowly killed my expectations. I had long given up on a love that was never meant for me. A throbbing pain split my head, and I drifted back into a hazy sleep. Late at night, I was yanked violently out of bed.

The sins of rejection

The sins of rejection

I wished there was something I could do. I really wanted my family back,I wanted to feel the peace but I was loosing everything and trying to keep them together was not working. Every sin has consequences and mine were running fast, towards me. That night I stayed up late thinking,I had put myself in a sticky situation.I remembered how happy my life was before, before I chose revenge.I remembered how Vee showed me true love too,but I shook that off.I could not just assume the way he ignored me back then. He chose my friend over me, knowing very well I loved him more than Mila could ever love him.He still chose her just because I was not pretty enough for him.Just because he was one of the pop

The Mafia's Little Doll

The Mafia's Little Doll

I was lying flat on the bed, still dressed, eyes fixed on the ceiling. He stood there for a while without speaking. Then I sat up slowly and told him to get ready because we were going home. He looked surprised. “Now?” “Now,” I said. There was nothing to pack. We came here with nothing but the clothes we wore. He nodded and left the room. The drive back to the city stretched long under a quiet sky. The sun had fallen and the road lights were dim, throwing shadows across the windshield. Alex focused on the road, and I kept my gaze on the window, watching the dark fields roll by. My head felt heavy, filled with thoughts I could not stop. Deborah’s rejection.
