I wrapped my hands around the banister, supporting my weight. I finally made it out of the mansion. I hid behind bushes and trees until I found myself in the woods. The river that I had seen from my window was a few feet away. “Go back,” a voice in my head said, but I quickly pushed it away. I walked further, until I was right in front of the lake. I felt goosebumps against my skin, nd a shiver ran through my spine. From the corner of my eyes, something was shining. I turned, taking in the sight of a necklace with a pendant of the full moon. It felt like I had a certain connection with it, but I couldn't place what it was.

Because it was accurate in the specific and complete way of an accuracy that contained more than its surface, that described not only the thing it named but the shape of the life that had produced the needing. She reads to feel less alone. I thought about the worn spines. I thought about the books read before and read again, the specific act of returning to a thing that had worked once to see if it worked again, the way you returned to it not because you had forgotten it but because the not-being-alone that it produced was a condition that required renewal, that did not persist on its own without the returning. I thought: she has been returning to these books for a long time. I thought: she

I sucked it up quickly, and decided it was pointless to beat around the bush. "I was hoping that I would be able to read a book with information on Reavers. I don't know much about them, but if I may be one, I think I have a right to know more." I said, hoping he would know what book I meant, this being a dream and all. "You mean the book from the other day?" He questioned, as he snapped his fingers and produced a book with a silver spine. It was the exact book from my last dream. I longed to get my hands on it.

I broke the second padlock and to my utmost surprise, three books were wrapped separately in plastic. The first book I took from the box was captioned “the secret codes for miracle activation by chanters and conjurers”. I didn’t waste much time on it. I put it down and took the second book and it was captioned “the secret sacred facts about Elixir” just as I took that book I felt the vibration of my astral mirror. I was shocked because it has been silent for the past two weeks. I checked and the words on it were” thank your old friend you used to play with 7 years ago, you named it Wonder”

The lengths that we would go for each other had been set in stone. I was sure now, that regardless of anything that could or would happen in the future, I would always have her by my side. The book with the red cover! “OMG!” Aki gasped. “Is this really it?” “Aye,” Sasha said. “You… stole… a book… from the library?” was the first thought that filled Aki’s mind. “Umm…” Sasha was taken aback. “Aye but it was for a good cause.” Temujin and Aki weren’t listening anymore. Their eyes were devouring the book. The title on the front cover was long. “The Feasibility of Using Galvinism for Ki Reanimation,” Temujin read aloud and then he and Aki both gasped.

Mara wouldn’t be likely to find me here, at least not right away, giving me a little time to read unbothered. I settled down, brushing the leaves and pine needles off the bench, then opened the book on my lap and continued to read where I had left off last night. The chapter on documented reincarnation accounts was dense and slow-going in places, and a lot of it still didn’t apply to my situation in any direct way. But I kept reading, skimming over the sections that seem irrelevant. I was about three quarters of the way through the chapter when I turned the page and found the heading: “The Lycan Princess and the Throne of Ashmoore.”

**** I raised a cracker biscuit to my mouth and bit into it staring intensely at my laptop, i typed what I was searching for and slammed my hands on the search key, I gently picked up my glass of juice and took a sip out of it as I waiting for the search results, -Do people get reincarnated to the past with materials from their future?!- I scrolled through various blogs and people’s opinions on Quora digest as I tried to find an answer to feed my curiousity but none of them seemed to believe in reincarnation and travelling back to the past in the first place,

The file glowed with embossed gold lettering: VOSS LEGACY: STRICTLY CONFIDENTIAL. She didn't open it yet. The air in the room felt too thin, too crowded with the ghosts of her mistakes. Instead, she crossed to the fireplace. She pressed firmly on the lion’s tooth carved into the marble mantle. A faint, mechanical hiss answered her. A wall panel shivered and clicked open, revealing a recessed safe. She punched in the combination—her parents’ anniversary. A bitter smile touched her lips. Damien had been too arrogant to think she had secrets of her own; he truly believed she was an open book he had already finished reading.

Klark, ‘Tribid Greed’ by Steve Reynolds, and a lot of other books. One by one Trisha returned all the books she'd picked. When she was beginning to get tired and unmotivated, the corner of her eyes perceived a strange book on a shelf not too far from where she was. Its spines were tattered and appeared like spiky wires beneath the poor lighting.
