Rest Stop Novelas e Histórias

We stopped at noon. Not because the drive required it, Rocco had the specific endurance of someone who ran on a combination of supernatural constitution and focused will and did not need to stop. But because Elara had been firm about it at the briefing and Mira had backed her and I had agreed because eating properly was part of the deal I had made with myself, with the baby, with the mission. We pulled off the road at a small place, a traveller's stop, ordinary and unremarkable, with tables outside under a narrow awning and food that was practical rather than memorable.

“It sounds perfect.” “It is.” He focused on the road again, and that was when she allowed a shudder to emerge. “I need to get some rest, so we’ll stop at a warehouse up ahead that I found. No heat inside, but we’ll just cuddle together under a blanket on the mattress in the back. Body heat is best anyway, yes?”

He lifted it to his lips, pressing a slow, lingering kiss to the back of it. “You don’t have to thank me, Sade.” His voice was deep, steady. “I just want you to be okay.” She swallowed, emotions flickering in her eyes, but she didn’t pull away. Instead, she let the warmth of his touch settle over her, grounding her. They drove in silence for a while before Adamo announced, “I’m gonna stop at the rest area in Springfield. Are you good with that?” She nodded, stretching a little. “Yeah, I could use a break.”

I have money of my own to establish myself when I get to wherever I am going. Her smile lit up his cab; she was so proud of herself for remembering the ‘essentials’. He did not have the heart to tell her that her phone was probably bugged, but he would check it at their next stop, which was coming up soon. He told her they were stopping in Washington State as he needed to take his rest there; he had been driving for more than six hours, the truck stop was about an hour away, and the laws stated he had to stop after eight hours on the road.

He asked, brushing his finger just below the scar. "Not really..." I replied, and he let his finger linger a bit longer before nodding and letting go with a smile. We'd driven for about thirty minutes when the cars stopped and some of the guys stepped out, including Hazer. "Why are we stopping?" I asked, looking around, not sure what I'd missed. There was a large sign beside us – LIKA MART. Never been here before. "This is our usual stop," Shawn said, opening his door. "Grab drinks, snacks, make-up wipes, random shit. You'll see. Wanna check it out?"

he rushed out. Charlize paused as if thinking about that then shook her head. "Not too much longer. Another thirty miles, maybe? There's a great biker's bar we usually stop at. They have great burgers and cold beer. There's a campground maybe ten miles past that. I've never been but I understand it's also popular with the motorcycling crowd."

she sighed, then giggled. "You're in luck! I've been circling the block for an hour waiting for you to notice." "Liar," she giggled at me. "I, um, I think Boston needs a potty break." Boston raised his head and thumped his tail on the seat at the mention of his name. I didn't think Boston really needed a potty break; Raven probably needed one. "Rest area coming up in..." "Two miles," Raven interrupted me. "Three," I corrected her.

"About halfway through, we will make a one-hour rest stop at a picturesque roadside café. You'll have the chance to grab some snacks, use the facilities, and enjoy the local scenery before we continue our journey to Goiânia." She encouraged the travellers to make the most of the rest stop, suggesting local specialities they might want to try or areas they could explore within the vicinity of the café. Sonia also assured them the bus would be secured and monitored throughout the break for their peace of mind. Sonia maintained an upbeat and approachable demeanour throughout her briefing, creating a friendly and inclusive atmospher

I have a driver, why would he find a dorm for me? “Err, your driver called me this morning, he’s asking for a few months’ leave since he wanted to focus on taking care of his pregnant wife,” He said. Right. My driver told me that he wanted to be there for her wife until the baby come out. “I can commute,” I said. “No, no, no! you know that I won’t let you commute,” he said. “I can book a Grab to send me home or a taxi, you know,” I said.
