She said to herself and sit down in one vintage chair in her bedroom. "What now. ...?" She said to herself and then her phone suddenly started ranging. "Is it Lily?" Anika asked herself and pickup the call without looking at the phone number. "Hello, we have considered your resume and we will like you to start working in our company tomorrow" A woman voice spoke out the phone. "Wait! What?!" Anika screams back to the person on the phone and apologized almost immediately for doing that.

" Do you've any experience? "She worked with me at Debmarine last year during her internship and helped Yolanda in the clinic as an assistant during her holidays" Dad announced proudly. "But I'm not really looking for something in the electronic industry yet. I'm just looking for something productive " I informed them while cleaning Nora's mouth that had sauce all over. " You guys really did a good job raising her " Charles mumbled making dad smile proudly. " Pass by the company tomorrow to give your CV, I guess Yolanda and Derick can give you some recommendation letter and I'll make sure to add mine as well"

" He said. I was not ready for that. I was still getting use to the idea of being alone. I still need to heal. "My name Shunshine. I'm not really interested in getting to know anyone right now." I said. "Can't blame a brother for trying." He replied back with a smile. I almost gave in. He hand me a business call and told me to call him if i change my mind. i looked at the card and saw that he was a mr. fix it man. He fixed on houses and appliances.

" I know you might be wondering why I'm calling after you failed the test months ago and the company told you, you couldn't be hired right?" " Yes, right." " Well Mr. Jonathan Williams changed his mind, Now, you are the perfect candidate for the job, you can resume tomorrow and either meet with the CEO or the Main active Head" she adds.

It was still better than being jobless. After reading the terms and conditions, I placed the file back and nodded my head. “Send me the contact, Mr. Lewis. I will start from tomorrow only then. Thank you very much for your time.” I said, and Mr. Lewis immediately put a stamp of SELECTED on my resume, offering me his polite smile once again, dismissing me silently.

The table vibrated, I eyed my phone, wondering what bad news the unknown number wanted to inflict on me. “Hello?” “Zoe Smithson?” “Who’s speaking, please?” “Mabel Collins, I’m calling from Total Software Solutions in regard to the resume you just sent us.” “Oh.” My brain froze. Words refused to leave my mouth. “Are you Zoe Smithson?” “Yes.” “I’m afraid you applied rather late. We are holding interviews today. Are you free at two?” “Yes.” “Excellent, we’ll see you at two.” “Thank you.” My heart pounded, sweat lined my palms. I have an interview for a proper career with healthcare and bonuses.
