This life again

This life again

I know where I'm at when I open my eyes. Death is already waiting for me, a wary look in his eyes. "Oh good. You're back to normal." he says relieved, and I'm confused before I remembered that I tried to dance with him. "Yeah, I wanted to apologize for that. I think that had something to do with the fact that the wolf that bit me is addicted to Fae fruit." I explained, and Death nodded. "Yeah, I figured. Mason's lifeline is a mess. It's coming undone slowly but quickly. If I didn't know better, he's dead but that addiction is making his corpse walk around in the living." Death replied.

And when it meant the most. I didn’t know how to feel about him. He affected me in ways that I thought were long gone. It was frustrating. I barely even knew him! “The mating bond doesn’t regard the amount of time you know someone, Aure,” said Seraphina. “Fate is the most important thing when it comes to such a strong force of nature.” “But we rejected each other. I shouldn’t…I shouldn’t be feeling this way anymore.” Still, I couldn’t deny her truth. Colt still had this strange hold on me, stirring up feelings that I couldn’t explain or control.

The Dark Side Of Fate

The Dark Side Of Fate

I could not move forward, and neither could I move backwards. Devin brought light and life into my life, and I had fucked it up. I was afraid that fate would fuck us up, and he had argued otherwise, citing Marcel and Theodore's love life as an example, but what if we were the exception? Devin thought I still wanted Sylvester, but that wasn't true. He just reminded me of what I could have had. I also did not miss that he was now fated to Tamia. The moon had blessed them abundantly.

Karima Sa'ad Usman
Dear readers the currency in this book (Lakhs) has no real life value and it is not the same with the currency spent in the real world with the same spelling. Please refrain from conversions. Also all names, places objects and situations are fictitious and are a figment of my imagination. Thank you.

Blind Fate: The Beta's Regret

Blind Fate: The Beta's Regret

“As if fate is something you can just rewrite on a whim.” The audacity of Ivan’s plan infuriates me anew, but Chloe Jane’s presence, even in this dream, grounds me. We knew he wanted to change his fate, but to stop his death when it’s already been decided? “He’s a fool. You can’t cheat fate.” “No, you can’t. But that won’t stop him from trying or from using us to do it,” her gaze meets mine, fierce and determined. “You have to stop him, before he does something irreversible. He says… he says he’s not above torture.”

Seriously, does this author ever miss? The answer is no, obviously! Another amazing story that was hard to put down & left me wanting for more. I’ve loved every story by this author & waiting for anything new is truly excruciating, dramatic or not lol Amazing job as always, author, until next time:)

This novel is incredible and unique. Building on the Tarr universe, and bringing back the Horsemen, you will be left each chapter hanging for more. CJ and Ruin’s chemistry is palpable and the unique circumstances surrounding them have you cheering for them! Check out her other amazing work too!

Curse of a Lycan Luna

Curse of a Lycan Luna

"When our kind go against fate, the threads that hold our universe together fray. Our stability weakens, tensions rise. We would all destroy each other. My deal was to eradicate those that had cursed their own lives with undeserved immortality. Fate rules us, and we have no right to take it into our own hands. All I wanted was to see Fate rightfully restored." It was not dissimilar to the agreement I had made. My father simply had the knowledge to combat the problem at its source, not make the foolish mistake of handing full control to the two who had pioneered the problem. We made deals for the same thing - to let fate lead - and only one of us had done it right. I spared one quick glance d

Markbound

Markbound

With one clean swipe, I dragged them across his chest — tearing skin and muscle with the precision of a signature. A message. "Let them think a wolf did this." I stood over the corpse, silent, watching the blood pool around his throat like a final offering to the night. My expression didn’t waver — no regret, no guilt. Only cold calculation. My eyes narrowed on the claw marks I’d carved into his chest — jagged, deliberate, unmistakably wolf-like. “They’ll think a rogue did this,” I murmured, more to myself than to the trees. “A poor drunk, slaughtered in neutral territory. They’ll panic.”

Changing Fate for the Alpha King

Changing Fate for the Alpha King

Elita You would think you get used to it—dying. But you never do. Every time, the body aches in a new way. The heart breaks all over again. The soul gets ripped out to wander into nothingness until given a chance to come to this world again. But I don’t think I would want to be born again. I…don’t want a life again. It’s because…it must be my fate to die by Levian’s hands in every life. I can’t seem to be able to change that in any timeline, in any life.

I too will give this book 10 stars!! It’s an amazing story following Dustin and Elita and their roller coaster journey to love. The entire series is a must read. Our friends from the other 3 books make appearances in this one as the story comes full circle. S.Y. is an amazing aurhor. You’ll love it.

My favorite book from these series. Dustin is what a real king should be. Strong, responsible, protective and so on. But somehow it doesn't seem worthless to be so great no matter what if at the end of the day he is just a lonely man with no one to share his burden. I really hope for a grand finale.

Reborn as The Billionaire's Wife

Reborn as The Billionaire's Wife

“And now?” “Now I know that love is the man who stands beside you when the world turns ugly and never asks you to shrink.” He tilted my chin up, forcing me to meet his gaze. “Elena… I need to hear something from you. Not as my wife. As the woman who came back from death and rewrote destiny.” I swallowed. “What is it?” “Do you still believe fate is fixed?” The question sent a shiver through me. For months, I had relied on foreknowledge events I remembered, disasters I prevented, traps I dismantled before they closed. But lately, things had been… different.

Oh My Beta!

Oh My Beta!

But if I waited until Riven actually showed up… If I orchestrated it so that Riven was here when Kade died, so that witnesses or better yet, Riven himself could be blamed… I smiled slowly into the darkness. That was the play. Frame the Beta for murdering his Alpha. Turn Riven’s heroic rescue attempt into an assassination plot gone wrong. By the time I finished spinning the story, Riven would be executed for treason and I’d be the tragic survivor who barely escaped with her life. Perfect. I moved back to the fire and settled in to wait, my mind working through the details. I’d need to make it look convincing. Stage it carefully. Maybe even injure myself in the process to sell the story.

Frequently Asked Questions

Marie Brennan's 'With Fate Conspire' is this wild, layered fantasy that feels like stepping into a Victorian London where the mundane and magical collide. The story follows Eliza, a human woman who's lost her fiancé to the fae, and she's desperate to get him back. Meanwhile, there's this whole underground world of fae politics and a dying magic system that’s tied to the city itself. The way Brennan weaves together Eliza’s personal stakes with the larger existential crisis of the fae is just masterful. It’s not just a rescue mission—it’s about the cost of progress, the erosion of old magic, and what happens when two worlds can’ coexist anymore.

What really hooked me was the setting. Brennan makes London feel alive, like it’s a character with its own secrets. The fae aren’t just hiding in forests; they’re in sewers, abandoned buildings, and the gaps between streets. And the clockwork imagery? Brilliant. It mirrors how the fae are literally running out of time as industrialization pushes them out. The book’s got this melancholy vibe, but it’s also packed with action—like a heist gone wrong, fae court intrigue, and a love story that’s equal parts heartbreaking and hopeful. I finished it with this weird mix of satisfaction and longing, like I’d lived in that world myself.
