The wind tore across the ridgeline, bending the pines until they looked like they were bowing to the storm. The Kaelith stronghold stood against the gray fury, its stone towers shuddering as thunder cracked above. The scent of ozone and wet earth filled the air—an omen of what was coming. Draven stood at the courtyard’s edge, rain slicing across his face. His coat was open, the black fabric whipping behind him. Every muscle in his body was wound tight with a barely contained rage. The storm mirrored it perfectly.

Storm took a step forward carefully, as if approaching something sacred. “No,” she said. “You’re a disaster.” Then, after a beat, “But you’re not hopeless.” The power finally faded, retreating into me like a tide pulling away from shore. I allowed myself to collapse fully this time, catching myself on my hands. Storm crouched in front of me. "You do not run from this anymore, River," she said. "Embrace the powers, learn how to use everything." “I don’t want to be what you think I am.”

"It’s stronger than the reports said. That’s a Category 5 Aether-Storm." "Can we go through it?" Tristan asked. "If we drive into that," Zephyr said, "the wind shear will strip the armor off the train. We’ll be shredded." "We can't go around," Tristan said. "The mountains are impassable." He looked at the map. "There has to be a gap. An eye." "There is no eye in a magically sustained storm," Zephyr argued. "It’s a solid barrier." "No," Tristan said, his mind racing. "Magic follows patterns. It breathes. Helena!"

Strong enough to endure all of their mistreatment. She opens the window and stares outside. It was a gray morning and the wind was rather chilly. Lauren decided to close the window as the weather doesn't look good. Thunder roared across the sky that made her flinch. Soon enough, the raindrops were heard. The rain starts pouring hard outside the house. It looks like the rain won't stop any time soon. She turns back to see her room again and begins cleaning her messy room. Her things were scattered on the floor. She sighed and shook her head as she recalled again what happened a while ago.

I am glad it's all in the past, I am already free from my idiotic self years ago. [ Okay so here's the best part, I rode the bike, on a a hill-like road. Of course, since it was a slope, I slide down and crashed. I got bruised, but that doesn't matter to me. Because when I stand up, I said that I already knew how to rode a bike. I am so proud of myself. ]

“Do I look like I’m ready for a hike?” “A walk then,” he answered. “They have plenty of easy, flat surfaced paths.” “I’m not going,” I responded with the shake of my head. “Shane obviously put a lot of thought into this,” Kale snickers. “I actually did!” Shane shouts out, eyes peering in at Kale. “I just can’t let on how much, otherwise it ruins everything. So please Raine, just get in the car. I promise we’ll all have a good time.” I cross my arms, and let out a sigh.

“I love you.” “I love you too, my Duchess,” he kissed my forehead. I wiggled out of his arms, motioning for the others to follow me. “Let’s get this show on the road.” The ride to Thunderstruck was stunning. The weather was perfect; it wasn’t too hot, not too cold. It was even dry, which for the UK in October, is a miracle in itself. It’s just a shame that the reason for the ride is because one of our proxy clubs had a bit of a problem with an arsonist… but hey? What can you do?

The final moment of the race was a contest between Lauren, Wanda, and another top rider. Lauren pushed herself to the front, her brows furrowed in fierce concentration. “She’s going to lose,” I whispered, smiling. Kendra looked puzzled. I knew every expression Lauren could make in every circumstance. She couldn’t hold on. No sooner had I spoken than Lauren faltered. Wanda crossed the line first, followed closely by the other rider. Lauren crashed heavily onto the ground, and the riders behind her surged forward, pushing her rank off the first page entirely.

Savana stood by his side, her eyes gleaming with anticipation. "Magnus," Rider Storm greeted, his voice a low rumble. "To what do I owe this unexpected visit?" I met his gaze, unflinching. "I've come to challenge you, Rider Storm. I will not stand by while you destroy everything I hold dear." A slow, mocking smile spread across his face. "And what makes you think you have the strength to challenge me, the power to defy me?" I clenched my fists, drawing on every ounce of resolve. "I may be powerless, but I am not broken. And I will fight for Tribiano, for Lara, until my last breath."

“Then let’s get to it.” I held my breath. Please don’t look up please don’t look up, I prayed to the Moon Goddess. They didn’t. They took off back the way we had come. When Storm was sure it was safe, he motioned for me to come down. “Shit,” he said as I landed on the ground. “We don’t have much time. They’re already after you.” I was so scared. “Storm, are we gonna make it?” I asked. He could hear the fear in my voice.
