The scarred rider lowered his weapon slowly, eyes narrowing. Then he nodded once. “We’re done here.”
One after another, the rest turned their bikes, engines rumbling into the night until the circle was broken for good.
Silence fell. Dust settled. Only Rafe remained, kneeling in the dirt, his breath ragged.
He looked up at me, eyes blazing through the blood. “You should’ve killed me when you had the chance.”
