My perfect peace was suddenly disrupted by the sound of a male shout coming from down the driveway. The sound was unfamiliar. Checking for Alden inside, I call him to follow me to inspect the sound. Anything could be a sign of Time. “You don’t need to worry,” Alden murmurs softly, squeezing my hand as if to reassure me. Each time I drifted close to sleep, it would sound again; loud, metallic, merciless.

I yelled out, trying to make sure he could hear my voice over the sound of the ringing. Barlion didn't answer my question right away nor did he cover his ears. He just stood still, frozen. The ring stopped after a few minutes later and I let out a sigh before I dropped my hands to my side. "What in God's name was that?" I asked, still feeling the need to keep my voice up because of the ringing in my ears. "Thay was the bell." "I can tell it was a bell, Barlion. What does it mean?" Barlion ran his fingers through his thick hair.

"I..." "Gring!" Orion's phone rang. Holy shit!

Calling. My heart lurched sideways. What the hell? I grabbed it immediately, pressing the lower button to stop it from ringing out loud. There is a tendency for him to hear it ringing from that lobby and also hear my voice rhyming with the voice from is phone. I can’t take that risk.

I reminded myself, sighing. Suddenly, a familiar ringing sound struck my eardrums. I slapped my hands to my ears, and of course, it didn't stop the ringing. My eyes jerked to the moon and there wasn't a full moon in sight. The ringing didn't stop and it was making me shaky. Was the curse starting to spread to other days as well? No, no, no! I screamed and fell to the ground, covering my ears, my eyes tightly shut. My skin started to get heated and throb; my insides were shaking vigorously.
