She tried to hide the blush on her cheeks. “Jerrod didn’t meet you himself?” Erin seemed surprised. “No, mom, but it all worked out.” Riley answered. “Well I will let you get unpacked, we can talk business later.” Her mother gave her one more quick hug before she walked away. Riley headed up to her penthouse, knowing that Ronnie would have her bags sent up with the bellhop. She was exhausted from the flight, and even more emotionally drained. She knocked on Sam and Mandy’s door before just heading straight to hers. She barely got her shoes off before a text came through on her phone.

Jacob replied in confusion. Jace tell something to his son and cut the call after. A little later, Arianne went down and talk to Taylor to bring her twins to school. Taylor looked at her surprised but didn't say anything. He himself saw the news and he thought Arianne's reaction now is so quite strange. She is so calm and Taylor thought that it is more scary. Jace must explain his side to Arianne immediately. When Taylor and the twins left, Arianne went up to their unit and move hurriedly.

Behind the spectacles, Thorne’s eyes were no longer kind; they were the eyes of a wolf who had seen cities burn. "Thorne, what is it?" Mia asked, her voice trembling as she stood behind Theo. "What is written in this book is true right?” Mia probed further while Mia remained quiet at the corner. Thorne closed the book with a heavy thud. He reached out and pulled Finn into his lap, his grip firm and protective.

Dominik snarled. He pressed the knife closer to my throat and I could feel the blade penetrating my skin as blood started flowing down my neck onto my shirt. “Read the fucking incanation.” Andres snarled and shoved the notebook towards me. I had no other way out of here… There was no possible way to get out alive without bringing them back with me, and I knew this. I also had a feeling that they were not actually scared of Rowen, and they were faking it. Which told me that they may be a real opponent for him and his brothers. That thought just made me even more terrified.

Leila faced Thorn directly, “Talk then! What do you have to say?” “Your aunt, uncle, and cousins…they were taken by my twisted family. I can’t touch them now, but I won’t let this go,” Thorn explained, “ I was only there at the ceremony to find your family. I didn’t think of they would sacrifice their blood too… You have to believe me.” Leila’s anger had already begun to dissipate, but she was still holding a grudge. “Were you having sex with Rina last night?” Thorn realized that his half-sister must have been scheming again. “Of course not! Please don’t let her get in your head… I was taking care of something up north. I should have told you before I left. Can you forgive me?”

Riley The high iron gates of the Thorne estate stood open just enough for a single man to pass through, and I pushed the frame wide while Fantine stepped past my shoulder, with Silas and twelve of his white-furred spearmen following right behind us on the stone driveway under the moonlight. We kept our boots light against the flat rocks, and as we reached the first guard post near the garden fence, two of Silas's men moved forward fast without making a single sound, grabbing the syndicate sentries by their collars and dragging them quietly into the bushes before either guard could raise a rifle or scream for help.

“Give it to me.” I handed it over, my pulse pounding as he unlocked it. He scrolled fast, his thumb moving in sharp, impatient flicks until suddenly he froze. I watched his whole expression shift—first confusion, then disbelief, then a dark fury that seemed to roll off him. “What?” I whispered, my heart lurching. “What is it?” Thorne’s jaw flexed hard. “Messages,” he muttered. “Between her and Mira. They’ve been talking about… a child.”
