She gave a loud giggle, “Gio and Sonny used to sit with Ruthie and my grandmother in Gina’s. Gio’s wife died really young so I never met her but I met him. He used to give me licorice candies.”
Rin made a gagging noise, “he always had his pockets full of them. Nasty things.”
“He told me if I ate them, it would make me grow taller. Lying bastard,” she giggled at the memory. She caught the long rope Rin tossed to her. “What kind of games are you wanting to play?” She teased him.
“When I tie you up, it will not be with rope chewed on by puppies and covered in dog slobber,” he grinned back at her. “Let’s start with seeing which one of the puppies is strongest to pull the ropes.”
