If I did not smooth things over right away, I would be the one paying for it in bed tonight. I stepped forward, took the roses from Sean, and stood on my tiptoes to press a quick kiss to his lips. “Thank you, honey. I really love them.” Sean’s gaze darkened slightly. He stared at my lips for a few seconds, then smiled lightly. “There’s a surprise for you.” There was something hidden in the center of the pink roses. I gently parted the petals, and inside was a dreamy, almost surreal pink diamond ring. I gasped with surprise. “The Pink Star!”

Buoyed by their support, Grayson smiled with that determined look and lifted the ring toward my hand. I let a cold smile tug at my lips and, in one swift motion, slammed the ring onto the floor. It bounced and rolled away, but my gaze landed on the red roses in his hand. "Grayson," I said, mercilessly piercing through his pretense, "I like white roses. Red roses… those were always for Tanya." The words barely left my lips before the room fell silent. The entire private room froze. Then, a familiar voice called from behind me.

I slid the gold band slowly onto her ring finger, right next to the massive pear-cut diamond. "With this ring," I murmured, looking deep into her brown eyes, "I bind my life to yours, little bird. Everything I have, everything I am, is yours forever." Rosalina let out a tiny, shaky breath, her eyes sparkling with happy tears. She reached into the box held by Sean and took out a wider, heavier gold band. She took my massive left hand, her small fingers warm against my skin, and slid the ring onto my finger, passing it over the old scars on my knuckles.

A looked crossed his eyes,but it went away as quickly as it came, and soon he was looking at me amused again. "Of course, I didn't anticipate finding raunchy books in a sweet girl's bag, you're definitely right. Noted, I'm never doing that again." I scowled and he smirked. "So Rosie?" I went back to my room, and just then, the doorbell rang. Mary went to answer it, and after a moment, she returned, beaming as she held a massive bouquet of roses. "Miss White, look! Someone sent you flowers!" The roses were a stunning blend of soft pink and white—Swedish Queen Roses, full and luxurious. I recognized the name because I had been seeing videos about these expensive and extravagant roses lately. Circling around the bouquet, I estimated there were at least fifty or sixty blooms. Mary grinned. "See? Mr. Wynn really cares about you. He hasn’t even arrived yet, but the roses are already here."

Nice job, Rosa.” I said. “Thank you Master Rowen.” She replied, and bustled off back to the kitchen to start cleaning up. “You know, the Vampire fangs are my favorite.” I said with a grin that showed my now elongated fangs. Ambrosia just started laughing.

Look at him.” Alice nodded. “Wow. He’s actually serious.” Eventually Jasmine chose the rose, gold vine ring with also had their initials, it seems they made these rings specifically for them. Alex smiled, a real, warm smile. “It suits you.”
