I promise.” Her gaze drifted downward, and I noticed her eyes lingering on my left hand. Following her line of sight, I realized she was staring at my ring. My chest flushed, heat creeping up my neck as I quickly tried to look nonchalant. “It’s… beautiful,” she murmured, voice quiet, almost shy. I swallowed, feeling my cheeks heat even more. “Oh… um, thank you,” I said softly, glancing down at the delicate ring I had barely had a moment to admire myself.

She narrowed her eyes at her boyfriend surrounded by all the girls. But her face suddenly broke into a smile when she saw him wearing her ring, “You’re supposed to flaunt it, though,” She pouted sulkily, a wide smile replaced her frown as she saw him flaunting his ring, she giggled as disappointment fell on the girls’ faces. “Yes, that’s my man! shoo!” She waved her hand looking at the girls. “Excuse me?” She heard someone from behind, “Not now!” She clicked her tongue as she turned deaf to the person’s words. She felt someone pat on her shoulder, she turned around, “Excuse me,” Few of the girls shoved her aside and made their way inside.

‘Yes,’ I whispered to her our faces inches apart, it took her a moment to realize what I had said before her eyes widened and her lip trembled with a few more tears escaping down her face, I let out a small chuckle pulling her into my arms, stroking her hair. ‘Yes, Love, a thousand times yes,’ I said again I could feel the beginnings of a smile forming on her face. I pulled her back so that I could look at her, she was smiling once again, I took the ring from her hand kneeling down I placed it back on her finger. I looked back down at her slender fingers as the ring sat perfectly reflecting off the moonlight, my heart swelled with joy seeing the ring back on her hand, I looked back up at her

Her elbow slammed into my chest making me groan. “That hurt.” I let out painfully: “There are people outside,” she warned. “Control yourself.” “Then don’t provoke me,” I muttered. She ignored that, stretching her hand forward suddenly. “My ring.” I frowned, meeting her eyes in the mirror. “What do you mean, your ring? Why would you think I have it?” She rolled her eyes. “You didn’t say anything, but I can tell. The ring is with you.” I stared at her. “Why are you still going to wear his ring when he just humiliated you?”
