Alpha Orion
"For skinning."
Orion gave a curt nod and got to work while he went ahead to set up the fire. In no time Tristan had a metal pan hanging over the open flames as he stirred a pot of what he called rabbit stew, but Orion doubted it would taste any good.
The sun has long since dipped low into the horizon, shrouding the woods in darkness, but the crackling flames lit up the camp in a warm glow that cast shadowed figures across their faces.
Tristan handed out bowls of stew, first to Rey, then to Orion, who frowned at the contents but said nothing. He took one bite of the stew and quietly set it down; he would have to go for a run tonight.
