--- Chapter 1: The Drowning Season Every year in the small riverside village of Elowen, someone drowns when the mist rolls thick and the willows drip silver dew. It’s tradition not to speak of the dead. Evelyn Blake returns home after fifteen years away, inheriting her estranged grandmother’s broken-down cottage by the river. The locals greet her with silence and sidelong glances. At night, she hears whispers in the water. Tabitha’s POV It takes me almost an hour to reach Kolra River by bicycle. But Mom was right. As soon as I get close to the clear waters, I spot Reed, Evren, Luca, and Jace’s whole setup by the riverbank. And, as if to confirm my horror, aside from the seven other guys there, Isabel, Elsie, Melanie, and four other girls are there too. And damn does that look like an ominous sight. “Uh, dude. Unless I’m hallucinating, but I think that’s your stepsister right there,” Ian says and nods in my direction as I park the bike beside a tree.

My throat burned. She turned to Sara again. “I don’t ever want to see her near the Alpha’s chamber again. If I catch her within ten feet of him, I’ll tell everyone who you are and what you did.” Sara’s eyes widened slightly. “But…” “Did I stutter?” Tabitha said icily. “You think I’m bluffing? Try me.” Sara quickly bowed her head. “No, my lady. Of course not.” Tabitha looked around the room, daring anyone else to speak. When no one did, she turned on her heels and stormed out, her presence lingering like a bad scent.

~Otsana I walked through the pack, my steps sluggish as I grappled with the mixed emotions swirling inside me. Alpha Ralph's dismissal had left me feeling dejected, I was a fool to ever think he'd fall in love with someone like me. "Otsana." I turned, surprised to see Tabitha, the head maid, standing behind me. "Someone from Moonlight Pack, wishes to speak with you." My heart quickened in my chest. Someone from the Moonlight pack? That's my former pack, what could the person want?"

Belle seethed as she walked back into the building. She, Mirabelle Thalia Rivera was going to get back what she’d lost due to her foolishness and her cousin’s jealousy.

Even the older guys gave her attention. Tabitha is of course physically attractive, but her personality is equally attractive. She is very petite and bubbly. Someone gave her the nick name Hot and Bubbly. Tabbi is a petite 5 feet 2 inches and just over a hundred pounds. I wouldn't call her skinny. Her cute butt is round and very noticeable. Riverdale was more of a retiree home for the elderly who have worked their life off somewhere in the big cities and now seek rest. And that's where I grew up. And inevitably where I was going back to. Riverdale isn't all bad, the scenery here is beautiful and environment was nontoxic. I consoled with the thought that I needed someplace without the hustle and bustle of the city to keep me sane.

Tabitha managed the sale of her apartment quietly and didn't tell her family, not even anyone. She can't trust anyone right now. Except for her parents, they certainly wouldn't allow her to leave Seattle. Tabitha was to fix the mess in her life. She wouldn't drag anyone into her troubles. She's leaving Seattle, where her destination is her Grandmother's hometown, Madisonville, Texas. The proceeds from selling her apartment, car, and jewelry are quite a lot. Her savings over the years will be enough to cover the rent apartment and even the cost of maternity if she hasn't found a job in Madisonville.

Third POV: Things had changed a little in the Red Raven pack. As Jack was busy trying to protect his borders, his soon-to-be Luna Queen was busy partying with people her age. "Are you headed somewhere?" Jack watched Tabitha come out of the bathroom, wearing the shortest dress she could find in her closet: a black bikini top and shorts that barely covered her ass. "Yeah, I have a bar to hit with my friends," she replied, giving herself one last look in the mirror.

He could feel the worry coming for her. "Not quite long",he said. Then he pulled her close and kissed her forehead. "Don't worry my love, they will be fine. If you want, I'll send some warriors to go help them escape". "No Kendrick",she shook her head. "It would ruin Tabitha's plan. She said she has a way they can escape. I just hope they come out safe". "Tabitha is the Vampire?", Kendrick asked. "Yes". "And she lifted a boulder with her bare hands".
