House Eventide

House Eventide

There was real magic in the Realm. So, River called out to the forest in a whispered plea, to save her, save her friends. To hide them in the shadows and keep them hidden from Dub. The answer came more quickly than she expected. It was so loud, and so clear in her head that it stopped her in her tracks. River could hear snapping twigs and branches, likely Cinder and Inana chasing after her. They probably thought she was the one who was possessed. The answer was they had to go somewhere dark. Without light utterly. Shadows, after all, couldn’t exist without the light.

Rejected by the Alpha, Claimed by the Dark King

Rejected by the Alpha, Claimed by the Dark King

“Erevan—are we safe here?” “For the moment.” Not comforting. He stepped toward the river of shadowlight, kneeling beside it. “Come.” Aria knelt too, peering into the dark current. It looked like water—if water swallowed light instead of reflecting it. Erevan touched the surface lightly. Shadows rippled outward like ink disturbed. Then they began to whisper. Aria’s breath caught as fragmented words rose from the river—some in languages she didn’t recognize, some in tones that felt like memories slicing through time.

One More Hot Contract with the Shadow Alpha

One More Hot Contract with the Shadow Alpha

The shadow-spirit swallows the silver canisters whole, the metal exploding harmlessly inside the void of his darkness, suffocating the chemical fire before a single grain of dust can touch my skin. The wave of boiling water slams into the northern bank, knocking out two of the portable floodlights with a violent hiss of short-circuiting wires. The white light vanishes, replaced by the deep, terrifying amethyst glow of my presence. The northern line collapses in a panic of wet wool and screaming men. The fighters drop their compound bows, scrambling up the muddy ridge to escape the rising, boiling river, while the three elders stumble over their own gold-trimmed robes, rolling into the muck l

Thalia’s POV The river waited for me like a beast holding its breath. It was stretched wide and endless, cloaked in silver mist and shadows that moved too slowly with the wind. Rocks jutted from the banks like broken teeth, and the water beneath was dark. Not clear. Not blue, Just…dark. The kind of dark that felt sentient. The Devil’s Cleft. That’s what Rorik called it. He mentioned that the river was cursed. It held strange creatures and danger seemed to make it his abode.

The Shadow Knight

The Shadow Knight

Faces pressed against the liquid surface from within, mouths open in silent screams or perhaps desperate attempts to breathe. The River of Sorrows contains all grief ever experienced. To cross is to face not just your own loss but all loss throughout existence. A simple instruction, brutally difficult in execution. The Shadow Knight approached the river's edge. The water, if it could be called that, reacted to his presence, reaching tendrils toward him like a living thing seeking connection. He stepped into the flow.

Shadows In Steel

The baton connected with the back of my neck, hard and final. Pain exploded through me, fast and blinding. My body gave in instantly, strength draining out like it was never mine to begin with. My knees buckled. The wall slipped away. Voices turned distant. Blurred. And just like that... Darkness took over.

Shadows in Arms

"She specified the location. Tomorrow night. Eight PM. The Rothschild estate." "The merger," Declan breathed. "She is using the merger as her stage." "What merger?" I asked, confused. "The Rothschild merger is being finalized tomorrow night. Ceremony, contracts, media coverage. It is the moment when everything I have worked for becomes official." He looked at Morrison. "Elena wants to destroy me there. In front of the Rothschilds. In front of witnesses. Maximum damage, maximum humiliation." "Which is why we cannot let you go," Morrison said firmly. "It is too dangerous. Too exposed. We will send decoys, set up surveillance, try to grab her when she shows."

The Alpha Who Lost the Moon

The Alpha Who Lost the Moon

We move fast and silent through the undergrowth until the ground drops away and I hear it: the river. It stretches wide and dark ahead of us. Behind and to either side, I can already feel the net tightening. Three directions. Closing fast. I stand at the riverbank and breathe. One way. I turn to look at Kael. He's already looking at me. Those dark eyes steady, waiting, trusting the way he didn't trust five years ago and couldn't five minutes ago and somehow manages now. Shadowpine Forest rises on the other side of the river. Ancient. Dark. The place where wolves who enter are said never to return.

Lycan's Mate

*Shadow Pack Borderlands — Frost River, Dusk* Frost River flowed through the foothills, late-winter ice clinging to its banks. The Starblood warriors had marched all day, paws crunching in the snow. They had been sent ahead to scout the bend where Greenwood’s maps claimed the river was shallow to provide an easy crossing for supply trains moving toward Shadow Pack territory. Ryder walked ahead, his broad shoulders dark against the fading light. Crystal kept pace beside him, her cloak hood down so the cold air could bite her cheeks and keep her awake. Her fingers brushed the hilt of her dagger absently—a habit she’d picked up since Weeping Valley.

This book has incorporated a whole lot, from werewolf element, war, the tension and emotions. I like the fact it doesn't have much intimacy which is suitable to read. The weeping valley part and Queen Elira's reveal has gone over my head again and again. I love this book and it is highly recommended

The writing is lyrical and there is a thing to the description that makes quiet moments feel emotional. I cried during the bond ceremony and that mating bond is chef kiss. Beautiful without being overly erotic, just enough to stir the heart. Looking forward to more of your books

I stumbled upon 'River of Shadows' during a rainy weekend, craving something atmospheric—and wow, did it deliver! This novel blends dark fantasy with eerie folklore, following a young woman named Elara who discovers her village sits atop a hidden underworld where forgotten gods stir. The river isn't just water; it's a veil between worlds, and when it starts drying up, she uncovers a lineage tied to its guardians. The pacing feels like a slow-burn thriller, with lush descriptions of decayed temples and whispered prophecies. What hooked me was how it subverts 'chosen one' tropes—Elara's power isn't about destiny but defiance, especially when facing the cult trying to resurrect those old gods. It’s got 'The Witcher' meets 'Annihilation' vibes, perfect for anyone who loves myths with teeth.

What lingered after finishing wasn’t just the plot twists, though. It’s how the river mirrors Elara’s grief over her mother’s disappearance—the way the story ties personal loss to cosmic stakes. The side characters, like a smuggler-poet who quotes dead languages, add layers to the world. And that ending? No spoilers, but it left me staring at my ceiling, rethinking every folklore trope I’d ever taken for granted.
