I just didn’t expect the car to overheat—and for the rain to pour like this,” he explained, which only fueled her

Ahead, the road bent toward a major intersection—a natural bottleneck. On the corner, under the washed‑out glow of a streetlamp, a **CHECKPOINT** sign hammered into the asphalt reflected back their headlights.

I asked him as we walked towards the marina. “Truck jack-knifed and took out a few cars, one car swerved out and into the marina. We’re waiting for the diving team,” Robert said to me as Malachi caught up to us. We walked past the group of cops and two of them waved at me. “Where did the car go in?” I asked Robert and he shrugged, nobody was certain and I started taking off my clothes. “What are you doing?” Robert asked me as I undressed down to my briefs.

I tell her and hang up. As I near Amber's house, it's large and beautiful. I have been here many times but every time I make a visit, I love it even more. Amber comes running down the stairs and opens the huge gate. She is beaming . I park my Porsche beside her Maserati and across Claire's Audi. There is a similarity among us and that is driving is our passion. I get out my car and before I close my door, she comes literally running and gives me a tight hug as if she is planning to crush my bone and choke me.

She returned a warm smile before looking down at her lap as a blush crept onto her face. After the game, Annie and her friends happily walked towards Jay's car in the parking lot. Since Jack was hanging out with some friends after the game, Jay was giving Annie a ride back home. They were all laughing at something stupid Jay had said when Annie's name was called. "Annie! Wait up!" Annie and her friends turned to see Leo jogging up to them, still wearing his football gear and holding the helmet in his hands. "What?" Jay and Amari were both confused to see Leo, wondering what all of this was about.
