Roadtrip Characters Novels & Stories

Teq listed the surprising them all and they even seemed amped about it. "Bry?" She called out. "Yeah?" "Card." He handed it over to her and she approached the drive-thru's window. "Alright guys what do y'all want?" She stopped. "I've never actually driven this long." Rita said to Barley who smiled on return. "You just haven't been around them long enough." "I don't even know their names." She shrugged. "The current driver is Maureen, the passenger's seat is Jack, the previous driver was Tequila, that cute one is Raymond, the handsome tech guy is Bryan, the one with the snarl on her face is Maeve."

—“We have two more transfers.” Lucía slept in her mother’s arms. Mateo climbed in after her, silent. He watched everything with the attentiveness of someone who knows that every detail might save their life. During the next leg of the trip, the landscape grew drier. They passed through deserted towns, dry fields, unpaved roads. At one point, the driver stopped next to an old gas station — the kind with rusty signs that creak in the wind. There, a third vehicle awaited: a jeep covered in beige canvas, like those used by park rangers in remote areas. No one spoke. No one asked questions. The doors simply opened, and they got in.

“Excellent. We’ll leave within the hour.” *** The ride to Silvercrest Pack was too quiet. I sat by the window, watching trees blur past as the black SUV climbed higher through the northern hills. Cassian sat opposite me, his posture relaxed. Axel drove, and Roman sat beside him, but both of them were silent. Zade sat next to me, his hand gripping mine, his thumb tracing restless circles around my palm. Cassian finally spoke. “You’ve been carrying a great deal of weight, Ava. You deserve to breathe.”

But, of course, nothing went as planned in the world of the triplets. As I reached the curb, I heard the unmistakable roar of an engine. I glanced back and froze. A sleek, black Lamborghini was pulling up beside me. The tinted window rolled down, revealing Jaxon behind the wheel, looking far too smug for my liking. “Need a ride, princess?” “No,” I said immediately, gripping the strap of my bag tighter. “Too bad,” he replied, pushing the door open from inside. “Get in.” “I can take the bus.”

The wind blew through my hair as I rolled down the window, feeling something I hadn’t in a long time—freedom. “Alright, we need road trip rules,” Sophie announced from the backseat, pulling out a notepad. “Rule number one: No talking about pack politics.” “Agreed,” Fatima said, munching on a bag of spicy chips. “Rule number two: The driver does not get to pick all the music.” Jake, who was behind the wheel, raised a brow. “Excuse me? Who else would pick?” “Literally anyone else,” Althea said, crossing her arms. “You listen to brooding, dramatic, alpha-man music. We need some variety.”

Nate, why are you refusing? I kept walking toward the exit. "There's no reason. Find someone else. I'm not doing it." Julian grew agitated, running his hands through his hair as he followed after me. "The weather at Evermist Mountain has been getting worse every year. A few years ago, some drivers still dared to take the route, but none of them made it back alive. If you won't go there, nobody else will dare to either. "Nate, are you feeling sick? It's fine. I'll go with you. I'll handle the rescue work. You just focus on driving.

Get the hell out. In the end, Sophia forced a bitter smile. "Fine, fine. It's all my fault for being so pathetic." With that, she turned and fled, leaving behind a trail of humiliation. But honestly, she only had herself to blame. Taking advantage of their distraction, I quietly slipped into a colleague's car and left. To help clear my head, Jane had signed me up for a group tour. The destination was Thornbridge—a place I had dreamed of visiting since I was young.

A small group of tourists queued up, preparing to hand over their luggage and board the bus. I joined the queue and was greeted by a cheerful young male with bright eyes and a welcoming smile, who introduced himself as Tom, our tour guide for the trip. He had an easygoing demeanor and exuded an infectious enthusiasm. Meanwhile, the driver, an elderly gentleman with a weathered face and silver hair, sat quietly in his seat. He seemed to be lost in his thoughts, avoiding eye contact with anyone and keeping his gaze firmly fixed on the road ahead, just chewing on something sweet smelling. Tom casually mentioned that the driver's name was Alasdair.

"You would ride with me and Caroline, you'll sit on the backseat." I didn't argue with him and just let him pulled me and pushed me inside the backseat while he and Caroline rode on the driver's and passenger's seat. I wasn't in the right state of my mind and I just stared at the street as we passed by while Francis maneuvered the car. From my peripheral vision, I saw that we were following the ambulance where Zhanaia was and the BMW that I rented was convoying us, droved by Zhairo.
