“Maybe it’s good to have a challenge once in a while.” Eros murmurs, making me feel his warm breath on my face. His hand rises to my throat, where he grips with a bit of force, forcing me to meet his eyes. I breathe slowly as he stays serious, then he pulls away, goes to the door, and when he opens it, I see a female my size, with wavy blonde hair, dark red eyes, crimson lips like blood, pale skin. Dressed in a navy-blue gown down to the floor. “Pleasure to meet you, Nina. I’m Marian, cousin to this stubborn one here.”

Ariadne's eyes burn, tears falling down her raw cheeks. "Your little friends are alive, though," Robin whispers casually. "But don't be too happy. They're all going to Harry, and I don't know what that old, crazy man has in store." Ariadne bites hard on the inside of her cheek to keep from talking. Robin laughs. "Did you know he wanted me to bind you up in silver? Like you're dangerous? But we both know that's not necessary, Doll. You're nothing. You'll always be nothing, just a pretty hole begging to be filled."

Dana had already reached where I was by then. “Nice try, Marylin.” She said to me. “I’m sorry, but someone here needed my help, and I had to do something to help this little pixie who wanted to get home.” Dana looked down at Mariana’s house. She hadn’t come out yet. “So, where is she?” “She’s inside, she says she wants to give me something.” Mariana heard them talking while inside, and then came out to meet Dana. “Hello, I’m Mariana, it’s a pleasure to meet you. Please don’t be mad at Marylin, she’s been nothing but an angel to me, if it weren’t for her, I’m not sure I would have been able to return home.”

Brodie got out of her seat and came to her chair. Mrs. Brodie bent over and hugged Marian then whispered in her ear, “Don’t leave too soon, sweet Marian. I like you and expect you to lasso my boy Rand. He needs a woman with a good heart.” Marian blushed when she kissed her cheek. Mrs. Brodie headed to the kitchen. “Is anyone other than me ready for my lemon meringue pie?” Several hands raised. “I’ll get it. The rest of you take your time finishing.” Marian ate most of her meal. Though the delicious food couldn’t keep her attention long. Not when so much was going on around her. She did eat her pie. She saw Rand grin at her as she practically licked her lips at the end.

Aaron said flatly. Maria finally stood from the chair. About to make her some tea when she heard the angry voice of her son. A deep frown between her eyes makes her walked towards the open door. Her quick eyes noticed Rick blocking a couple of people. The longer she looks she finally realized the blonde woman was injured. As she moved forward, she realized she was going to anger her son. There is only one blonde woman on the island, and she is the wife of Sly Fox, a dangerous criminal she doesn’t want lurking around her home.

Riding Hood was tired, due to the long journey and other stuff. LISA’S POV “Perfect,” Marian chirped in before I could tell Ronan to go look by himself, and if he didn't find it, he should try using a map or something. “Lisa, my dear, you should get me some horsetail r****h leaves while you guys are at it. I'll be in the still room when you get back,” she didn't wait for my response before taking off. I can't make out whose side she is on. is it me or is she trying to help Ronan in this little game he is playing with me?

“Oh geez where are my manners? My name is Maryan Angelie but my friends call me Mary, I’m Red’s wife.” I jerked back from her in surprise. The woman frowned at my reaction and took a hesitant step forward but stopped when I shook my head at her. “But Red’s a human.” She cocked her head to the side and stared at me with a question expression. “and you’re a wolf.” “Oh not this crap again.” Maryan’s smile returned before she rolled her eyes at me while laughing.

I was to find a way to reach her, to deter her, wait for it to blow over before she came for her own revenge from Balin but I was impressed by the shield she had put up. Honestly, I missed the times I spent with her, when Ophelia had told me to care for Marilyn, I was apprehensive but as I got to know her, I realized that I would be willing to give my life for her if it ensured her safety. Ophelia had reached out to me last night though, she had told me of Marilyn's power. A Maren. Ophelia used to tell me about them back in the days and I knew how hard she said it was to find one so I was surprised just as Ophelia to discover that Marilyn was a Maren and not just a mermaid.
