I'm standing in the woods near the house, I'm trying to scent him. There is two different trails. He's been close, watching us. I decide to follow the scent on the left. It's weaving all around. It's led me in circles. Thorne is extremely intelligent. This is a game for him. I go back to where I started. Close my eyes and search. Another scent trail appears before me as well as the previous one to my right. He's here. I follow the new trail. I'm running. Determined to find him. To kill him. I feel it in every part of me. This drive to see him fall.

[POV: Colin Smith] Colin pulled on more grace using 20% of his ability. Now his chains made short work of the beast by beheading. The headless bodies of the beasts sprayed blood like erupting volcanos. The three riders crashed to the ground rather unceremoniously. One of them was crushed under the weight of the Pyromuthos that was still twitching. Blood slowly pooled under the bodies of the dying beasts. Without wasting time colin beheaded the two reaming riders.

Directly ahead of us, towards the back of the clearing, Gray, Bo and Cordelia are standing just outside of Gray's tent, respectfully the biggest in the camp. Grayson and Bo are Iselyn and my fathers younger brothers. And even though Grayson is the youngest of the three, it was he who took over as Alpha when my father died. Usually it doesn't work that way. Usually that title and responsibility would go to the eldest. But the situation in this case was… complicated. Because it was Grayson who killed him.

Tyler’s POV The silence that followed Madison’s abrupt departure was thick with tension, like a storm brewing on the horizon. My mother’s disapproving gaze bore into me, her unspoken disapproval casting a long shadow over the room. In that charged moment, I couldn’t contain the torrent of emotions that surged within me. I pushed my chair back abruptly, its legs scraping harshly against the floor, the sound a jarring contrast to the hushed atmosphere. My mother’s words, echoing her thinly veiled threat, reverberated in my mind. “You will lose your entire inheritance if you move an inch,” she had warned.

Moments later the darkness crept back into my vision. This time the darkness felt like a tunnel with a light at the end. I felt myself being guided and pulled towards the light. Fear filled me but something felt different this time. I didn't feel like I was wading. the light although bright, felt somehow warmer and safer. I approached with caution. I blinked slowly as I entered the light. I blinked and blinked, and my eyes focused slowly onto square ceiling tiles above me.

Her fingers bumped something metallic, half-buried beneath a collapsed plank of wood. She tugged gently, uncovering a small, rusty tin. Her heartbeat spiked excitedly. Inside, wrapped in what looked like satin, was a flash drive… and a folded note bearing yet another cryptic message: Truth has teeth. Bite before it bites you. —M. She clutched it tightly, her hands shaking as she stood and hurried quietly back through the tunnels to her room. ************************************************** When Sergio found her in the study half an hour later, she didn’t even glance up.
