Rock My World Into The Sunlight Novels & Stories

The sun keeps flaming high, its rays sparkle each passing car, which outshone the daylight. I rested at the back of the car near the window and turned my gaze away from the drive. I wanted to be out of the world. I put on my headset and exposed my pouted face through the window, hoping the wind from the bustling road would cool off my head as the music played in my ears. It was so hard to stop recounting the hard times I have experienced, no matter how hard I tried.

All I want to do is run and hunt, run and hunt, and be in the wild for as long as I can. My lin is back, and the world feels so light, I don’t feel so alone anymore!

I squinted and gave the bomb expert a half-smile. "There’s no need to waste time with words.” "Just do your thing, and quick." He nodded and got down to business with his tools. I licked my back teeth. Great. Now of all times I was dying for a smoke. The afternoon in Safrana? It was blazing hot. I had been standing in the blazing sun for what felt like an eternity, and it seemed like the sun was trying to cook me alive.

I smirked at him and focused on other people and nodded my head to the musician to start the music. I began to tap my hand on the microphone to follow the tempo. And I sang: The world can be a nasty place, You know it, I know it, yeah, We don't have to fall from grace, Put down the weapons you fight with, Kill 'em with kindness, Kill 'em with kindness, Kill 'em, kill 'em, kill 'em with kindness, Kill 'em with kindness, Kill 'em with kindness, Go ahead, go ahead, go ahead now,

" Something in my head stabbed again. My vision went dark for a split second. I clenched my teeth and forced myself through the wave of dizziness. "What’s wrong?" Mom asked, her tone edged with impatience. "Nothing. Motion sickness." "Dramatic." She let out a cold snort. "Just like your father. A grown man who can’t handle a little discomfort." I closed my eyes and swallowed the metallic taste rising in my throat. In my next life, I won’t come back. The drive lasted five hours. By the time we reached Crestview Heights halfway up the mountain, night had completely fallen. The place was brightly lit, yet eerily silent.

Their pointed tips were frosted with the soft yellow glow from the streetlights. A gust of cold wind blew over us. Even the warm scent of oud wood seemed to turn sharp in the chilly air. I lowered my eyes to avoid his gaze before stepping back to create distance. "All set," I declared. Half a second later, Calvin seemed to snap back to his senses. He suddenly took a step back, as if nothing had happened. His expression remained composed as he turned to leave. However, his pace quickened. The tips of his ears slowly flushed red. Behind him, I took out my phone and opened my notes app.

"You all know I can't stand the smoke, and Zac has a heavy habit of smoking. It's better for me to sit by the window." Zac's expression immediately darkened. I caught a flicker of pain in his eyes. He was finally facing the consequences of what he'd done. Feeling the awkward silence, Megan and the others tried to lighten the mood again, saying nice things about Zac, trying to help him out. I couldn't help but find it funny. What was the point of all this now? I simply said, "Thank you all for taking care of me these past few years. I'll be getting married soon. We're discussing the date now."

"But you're now back. You're still a rockstar, aren't you?" "I am a rockstar." "Well hello there. I am a survivor."

" She shouted. Yeah. I heard that clear. "Hey, what a beautiful day All I need is a taste (and it tastes so good) Nothing but a good time (a good time) Sippin' on sunshine Oh, don't got nowhere to go (no, we don't) So we'll go with the flow (hell yeah) Yeah, we're living the life (the life) Sippin' on sunshine All day, all night Sippin' on sunshine Yeah, a good time Everybody's just sipping on sunshine

As usual, their crowd of students gathered at the front of the canteen. A great idea pops in Shawn’s head, “Guys, shall we do rock-paper-scissors and the ones who lose from the loser’s match will buy our food.” he suggested to them. Arthur nods his head “Okay, let’s do it.” “What about you guys? What do you think?” he turned his attention to the two girls. Raven and Cassandra look at each other, “That’s good, let’s do that.” Shawn and Arthur place their hands on their palm, “One, two, three!” Arthur loses because he picks scissors while Shawn picks stone, in the other hand, Raven loses to Cassandra because she picks paper and Cassandra picks scissors.
