Looking unbothered by the chilly air while I’m trying hard not to start shaking. Then something dark covered his eyes and I felt the need to shrink. Reed smirks and he moves his hand that is hooked to the crook of my arm down slowly. Even though the multiple clothes I’m wearing, I felt the heat of his skin. Tingles ran down my spine and my skin broke out in goosebumps. He reaches my palm. I don’t know what he does with his thumb, but I felt a zap through my whole body, my blood instantly warming.

I smiled, grateful for the tranquility that enveloped our little haven on the outskirts of town. As I bustled around the kitchen, preparing a meal for Mauris's return, I felt a sudden prickling sensation at the back of my neck, as if someone was watching me. Goosebumps erupted across my skin, and a cold shiver ran down my spine. I dismissed it as a figment of my imagination and continued my culinary endeavors, trying to shake off the unease that lingered in the air.

I don’t think I’ve ever had such a feeling of freedom. Nothing could bother me, hurt me, or even get to me here. It was like I knew it; my body and soul knew it. So I fell deeper into the soft comfort, embraced the darkness back, and leaned in. Something stirred down here with me, another presence awakening and slowly searching for me. My skin still erupted with goosebumps over my arms and down my back, and the continuous rumbling sound that followed me—vibrated through my chest, making my heart flutter with anticipation, waiting for something.

She paused, trying to comprehend her tale. “The crackling of wood being eaten by the fire, work on my nerves. Goosebumps all over my body, my heart beating too fast I want to look away but I can’t. I dropped to my knees, but I am not certain if it’s from fear or fascination.” Maya took a deep breath before she circles the room. It was like her emotions was overwhelming her. Shivering, she rubs the goose bumps from her arms. Completely entranced by what she sees in front of her eyes, her gaze stayed fixed. Her mouth opened and words poured out.

“Ghost.” My body stiffens immediately.

A strange sensation keeps vibrating over my skin, making my skin sizzle and getting it covered in goosebumps. What is this? My wolf seems to have retreated in the back of my mind, and even if I try to convince myself that she must have been tired because of all these emotional strains, something keeps nagging at me. Something feels awfully wrong. My body temperature seems to be rising and I feel like burning up. Lifting a hand to touch my face, I sigh, feeling like something is draining my energy while, on the other hand, I feel a surge of electricity jolting through me.

Goosebumps appear all over my body when he holds my arms and gently pulls me into his hold. We’re like a highschool couple on their first date. He wasn't playing. We spend the rest of the night watching horror movies and nothing else.

My nostrils flared, and my body visibly shuddered in reaction. A sudden chill spread over my skin, making goosebumps crawl across my flesh. My body felt numb and heavy, my heart racing into panic mode in mortification at my body's reaction to him, and the obvious fact that he was aware of it.
