Scarecrow Goosebumps Novels & Stories

The two blinked confusedly. "Well...I gotta go with Werewolf, I guess," Shawn vehemently answered and nervously scratched the back of his raven black hair. "And you, Scarlett?" The curly-haired teen murmured and thought deeply about the answer. But with the thought of the Vampire creeping into her brain, she felt a little conflicted. She sniffed the cold air. Just then she suddenly caught an odd sensation. A cold shiver rippled through her back, causing her skin to grow goosebumps. She then caught a strange smell that she couldn't quite get. She looked around and that smell was quite strong.

Alexander gushes in excitement. "Okay I will come." Rushes Amara. She wanted to get out of the devil's abode some way or the other. Nothing he speaks next goes inside Amara's head. "Alex I am feeling very frightened here. Everybody had gone out to watch a horror movie playing at a nearby theater and I am alone. Could you please come home instead of the driver to pick me?

I made another mad dash, with Nyx right behind me. We finally found refuge against a scarecrow, our chests heaving as we caught our breath. But the scarecrow blinked at me, and suddenly, it sprang to life, jumping down from its post, brandishing a machete, and making a beeline for me. Nyx and I shrieked and fled in opposite directions. I sprinted to the right, heart racing, desperately trying to put distance between me and the scarecrow. I stumbled upon a darkened area in a field and dove into the bushes, hoping to evade him.

Turning, I began to move towards it, unable to quite comprehend what could possibly be making that type of noise this deep in the forest. Moving forward, I came across a field with glowing blue flowers and what looked to be scarecrows. They twisted about lazily in the wind as a few birds began to land on them. Snarling, the scarecrows mouths snapped open as their claw-like hands grabbed the birds eating them in one bite. As they chewed, pieces of the birds could be seen traveling down the scarecrows skeletal throats and past their ribecages before the now-ground-up creatures hit the earth below them.

Halloween always brought out the weirdos, but I didn’t expect to be one of them, out here alone in the middle of nowhere, the air thick with the scent of damp earth and decay. My boots crunched on the gravel path, the barn looming ahead, its weathered wood silhouetted against the crimson sky. The rumors called it haunted, a place where people vanished on Halloween night, but I figured it was just small-town nonsense. Still, my heart pounded, a mix of adrenaline and unease. The wind rustled the corn, whispering like it was alive, and I swore I heard something—a low growl, deep and primal, cutting through the night. I froze, camera dangling, my breath visible in the chilly air. The growl came

He chose right anyway. All of a sudden, we started hearing howls and the fear got even worse for me. The hairs on my body stood like they sensed something and were about to attack. Anyone close to me would have noticed the goosebumps on my body as they were not making any effort to be hidden. The sound seemed to be coming from everywhere and nowhere at the same time. I looked at Scott in fear and he looked right back at me. I wanted to disappear so badly. Mother's grip became tighter on me like she was trying to give me some extra boost by doing that and it gave me a bit of short-lived warmth.

I would've taken the time to appreciate the movie reference if I wasn't so terrified. Goosebumps covered every inch of my skin. I wanted to scream but nothing left my lips. I gulped. I looked down at the bathtub full of blood, at least that was what it seemed. There was something poking out slightly out of the water. With shaky hands, I reached out and dipped my hand in the water. Feeling something hard in it, I grasped it and pulled it out only to throw it back into the water while I stumbled backwards due to fright.

My fingers crawling to my ears, pull the ear buds out quickly as my breathing pulls up lightly. My heart, once dancing with joy, now shuddered with fear, and my body instinctively tensed, a cold rush replacing the warmth within. The blood coursing through my veins seemed to turn icy as the air around me thickened with an unsettling tension. A disconcerting symphony echoed in the form of creepy, scary footsteps, their ominous rhythm making its way over dry, crunchy leaves.

I turn back on Farm Of Death just in time to see a scarecrow come to life and chase a couple through the corn maze with a machete. My eyes grow heavy just before I make it to the end credits, Max is already asleep curled at my feet. When my eyes open again, it’s to the sound of him barking. I mute the TV and find him at the back door, the night pitch black, the moon quarter full in the sky above. Something triggers the flood lights in the back yard, though it’s not uncommon with all the deer around here. I stumble to the kitchen and peer out. I don’t see anything. The glow on the stove tells me it’s just past two a.m.

I listened carefully to know where the music came from. I stopped at a door that had the painting of a god and a lion warring at each other since it is where the music was playing from but there was no light on, to say he is reading. I peeped again this time closer but I heard no clicking sound coming from his computer. Everything began to look scary in my eyes and I felt goosebumps all over my body, I'm a die-hard fan of horror movies but this is reality.
