Her instincts screamed, feet backing away slowly, breath catching in her throat. One lunged. She screamed—and then suddenly— A blur of black fur crashed into the attacker mid-air. A massive black wolf with silver eyes, twice the size of the others, snarled with a guttural sound that shook the air. From the distance, golden eyes watched from the rooftop. The rogue Alpha. His fists were clenched. His chest rose and fell in frustration. He was going to save her. But he was too late. That bastard beat him to it.

She raised a claw to finish it off when another rogue jumped at her, knocking her off the wolf. Nora whimpered, falling to a side, leaving her ribs bruised and bleeding. Of course, rogues travelled in twos. The new rogue crouched beside the fallen rogue, sniffing it and checking if it was still alive. Nora saw her blood on a couple of fallen leaves and growled, charging at the newcomer. She gave it no breathing space as she took it down, swiping at its neck with renewed energy and anger. When it tried to howl for help, she ripped out its vocal cord and the rogue went still. Returning to the initial one, it was barely alive and struggling to get away.

A voice said from the outside part of the dungeon that was dark. Ayra growled out “let me go, it was a mistake that I trespassed into your territory”. There was a slight chuckle “but my Alpha doesn't understand that, it's pack rules and we all have to obey them, all Rogues that have trespassed into the Moon Crest pack would face judgement and if found guilty would finally face death though I know that in your case it would be death as the Alpha has been feeling so cranky recently” his ominous tone made Ayracs breath to hitch in her chest.

I said trying to make it sound fun and playful. “You youngins these days. Back when I was a young one, yes everything you said was true. But in today’s world being a Rogue isn’t what it used to be. But we do have a few Alphas that come through here. But I will give you space to work and give you safety. But I don’t want whatever drama that is going on in your personal life to affect my business. You hear me?” He said sternly.
