I landed hard, quick, and strong, surprising the soldiers.
“What the—?” A soldier weakly said, eyes wide as they looked at me.
In a sudden shock, chaos broke out, men rushing for their guns, but I was already there, teeth showing and claws ready. I leaped at the nearest soldier, biting down hard on his shoulder.
“Get her!” another soldier yelled, but their fear only pushed me to go faster.
Axel had moved too, his huge body crashing into the group. Together, we were a storm, claws ripping through skin and hair, our roars mixing with the sounds of chaos. The rogues disappeared from view no one wanted to intervene, especially when two wolves ruled the space.
