A howl sounds some distance in the front, just at the same time a group of rogues leap out of the bushes. I spring into motion immediately, all my training kicking in. I knock the first one down just before he shifts into his wolf, wrapping the wire around his neck and pulling hard. Suddenly, the clearing is a battlefield. Weapons clash against weapon, rogues fall down. I roll to the side, avoiding the snapping of fangs as a wolf lands where I stood a second ago. From the corner of my eye, I see Ragnar watching it all from the sidelines, like a messenger of death himself.

I put what I am doing to the side and gestured for him to take a seat. "Owen, I need to talk to you about something. I do not want you to take offense, but it's about rogues." I nod. Rogues often give packs trouble; somehow, I am an exception. Probably because I attempt to communicate with the wolf packs and live on neutral territory, it probably also helps that they come to my club. Every werewolf in this pack, their wolf is okay. But there are some wolves who aren't ok. Sometimes, they are rejected by their pack and kicked out. Over time, those wolves become rogues. A rogue is a wolf who has gone feral and lost their humanity. There is no saving a rogue wolf. Once rogue, they're deadly and dangerous. I guess you can think of it as a disease in a way. And in the end, it's a death sentence. Because eventually, they'll do something that will get them killed.

I said trying to end this call with my mother. I needed to find out what was going on with the sudden random rogue attacks. So far I've heard it was a small number of rogues attacks maybe twenty-plus rogue wolves, From the intel we’ve received, they seem to be excellent fighters.
