I said with a mischievous twinkle in my eye, "while I'm in London, I think I'll find myself a handsome British man."
The corners of Martins' lips twitched upwards in a smile, but his expression quickly turned serious. He placed a gentle hand on my shoulder, his gaze intense. "Carina, you're going to London to learn and grow," he said firmly. "Don't let yourself get distracted by romance."
I laughed, playfully nudging Martins with my elbow. "Oh, come on, Martins," I teased, "it's just a harmless joke. I promise I won't let myself fall in love with a handsome British man."
