The placement of the lamps and candles made the entire scene feel ethereal, like a set from a high budget romance movie. If anyone had told me a day would come where I’d be the leading lady in a scene like this, I never would have believed them.

It was as if my body hairs are starting to stand because of the disgust I'm feeling. I returned the card and got another one. This was the last card that he gave me. I now regret not reading the cards that he's been giving me.

He never gave her money to glam up, but he wanted her to glam up. When I got to the bus stop, I brought out my phone to order for a uber. I always sat at the bus stop to order a ride.
