Romance Novel Editor Jobs Novels & Stories

The other line goes silent for a few seconds before they reply. "Christine," I hear them take a deep breath through the phone before continuing, "Most romance books that you can think of, are already published. I believe that your writing skills should be of more use to those wanting to read something new. But I will give you the benefit of the doubt. Give me something unique and exciting and I might consider it." I smile at my editor's approval. Even though I feel like crap, at least he's taking the pitch. Besides, I am already working on a romance book at the moment. But it's only halfway complete.

He just accepted that it was always going to be part of his job. After finishing reading over a final draft for Robert’s soon to be published work, he opened the submission inbox and started the laborious task. He could see that at least one editor had already been through some of the submissions as there were only ten unread ones. The first one was an undeniably interesting romance set up with a female police officer chasing an internationally known phantom thief across the world. Naturally he noticed how unrealistic everything was, but he could appreciate the unique setup. There was a lot of potential in the writing so he passed it through.

Lisa's face fumes and exclaims like how Jazmine reacted when I told her what happened. "Who is that editor?!" She exclaims, and I reply to her with my eyes pointing at Jaime talking to Marco. "Him?!" Lisa is surprised after knowing that Jaime is the editor. "Let me give you a tip, don't put a tragic ending to your stories. Don't you know, Takeshi's work got rejected 20 times because of it when he created his first novel." I am shocked after hearing that from her, so Takeshi also writes romance, tragedy, oops. Correction, Love Stories!?

As she relayed the information, she wore a peaceful and welcoming smile that soon had Rosealba dissolving into her world. “…… when you become an author under our agency I will be your editor—attend to your emails, read and edit your work, and set you up for bigger opportunities that could help you grow bigger into the organization. But, note that I am not in charge of the contract approval.” “I wish you all the best and look forward to being your editor. Rosealba’s smile grew bigger and she stretched her hands further to take the editor's hand. “Thank you so much, ma’am I look forward to being a signed author under you.”

Every day she tried to re-enter the cover letter anywhere. And each day went by so fast for Velia. Increasingly made it hopeless because the new job never appears. Maybe she could not find a job in a short time while the due date was already looming. “Have you got a new job?” Velia gasped in surprise. She had just arrived at the home and was opening the door when Nia approached. Just like before, Nia came with a smoking cigarette and a hair roller adorning her head. She glanced at Velia's briefcase, then exhaled smoke. Velia coughed and she did not care at all.

I would like to express my gratitude to Editor Yino, who encouraged me to challenge myself with this story, and I will greet you next with my upcoming work. I am still a novice author in the novel world because I previously wrote many stories and am only now publishing them one by one. I read only physical paper books and do not read web novels at all, so the texture of my writing is a bit different from others. Even the genres I have read are things like detective stories, fantasy, Anglo-American literature, Nordic thrillers, and Japanese mysteries. Because of this, my writing carries its own unique color. There is a noir-style triangular romance featuring a cross-dressing woman where an ag

“You’ve worked hard here, Haven. You’ve proven yourself more than capable. I think it’s time you stop hiding behind my manuscripts and let the world see yours.” My heart skipped so violently it almost hurt. “You… you’re serious?” “Dead serious.” He leaned forward now, elbows on the desk, his chin resting against his hand like he was savoring my reaction. “You’ve been editing my words for a month. I think it’s only fair I return the favor. I’ll be your beta reader. Your editor.” I gawked at him. “You? The Joaquin Greyson, legendary, award-winning novelist—you’re volunteering to edit my book?”

Hello my lovely readers! 💌 I hope you’re loving the story so far. Thank you for sticking with me through all the twists and turns! I’m aware there have been a few inconsistencies in the previous chapters. I’ve already edited them, and once my editor gives the green light, they’ll be fully updated. I’ll continue fine-tuning this book because you deserve the best version possible. From this point forward, things get darker... and much spicier. It is a dark romance, after all. You can expect intense emotional arcs, higher stakes, and immense character growth. I can promise you that.
