For those who are looking for a dark romance about a very morally grey alpha with black cat vibes where the MMC makes the FMC earn her freedom, read Buttons and Lace now. And for my romantasy readers, I also write dark fantasy romance under Penelope Barsetti. My newest release is The Death King, a necromancer intent on revenge...and will unalive anyone who touches his woman.

The warrior dismounted quickly and headed straight toward Adrian. That alone was enough to put him on edge. Urgent news rarely brought good outcomes. The messenger stopped before him and bowed slightly. "My lord." "What is it?" The warrior looked uneasy. "We found survivors from a destroyed village." Adrian immediately straightened. "What happened?" The answer came after a brief pause. "They claim a giant black wolf attacked them." Silence followed. Lena's expression changed instantly. So did Adrian's. Because there was only one giant black wolf anyone would be talking about.

Trigger Warning Hello Lovely Readers, This book may contain content that might be triggering for some. It is a dark romance with degradation, BDSM that doesn’t contain consent within the dynamic (I know, not something I typically have in my book). There are many instances where consent is very dubious and there is kidnapping. Because what fun is writing dark romance without hitting those tropes? I will add to anyone worried, this one does have a HEA because I’m a sucker for that happily ever after and I couldn’t imagine not giving Cass her happy ending.

Then he stepped closer, his presence swallowing me whole, and finally, finally, he gave me the truth. “Because my name is Damian Blackthorn,” he said, his voice low but steady. “And once, long before you were born, I swore I would never love a mortal again. Then I saw you. And for the first time in centuries… I broke.” The world tilted. My knees nearly buckled. Damian Blackthorn. He had never given me his name before. Never lowered himself enough to share it. And now, hearing it, tied to a vow broken for me—it felt like a chain around my throat and a brand against my heart.

Marie stood before the bed in nothing but the lacy black bra and matching thong, complimenting her pale white skin. Brad's eyes raked over her curves, a predatory smirk curling his lips. He shoved down his pants in one swift motion, his thick cock springing free, throbbing with need. He climbed onto the bed, the mattress dipping under his weight and pulled her close. They knelt facing each other, their lips crashing together in a hungry kiss. Brad's tongue invaded her mouth, dominating the rhythm as his large hands roamed her silky skin, sliding down her back, squeezing her ass, then up to cup her breasts through the thin fabric.

James sat in his grandmother's cozy living room, listening intently as she read him the stories of Eli, the vampire who had faced insurmountable odds and emerged victorious through sheer determination and the power of love. James had always loved hearing these stories, but today they held a special meaning for him.

Asher flash one of his well-practiced soulless business smiles. Jackson Brown is Asher's only friend and business partner, one of the few people he's allowed into his life, the few he can almost be himself with. Jackson is a tall, dark-skinned African-American, with sharp handsome features, and a fun, lively character, the complete opposite of Asher. They met while in college and had stayed friends ever since. "Your morning that bad?" Jackson asked, he'd never seen Asher so bleary-eyed so early in the day.

But their queen is not happy. She did not only lose her parents but also the love of the vampire king Damien. Alisha has to choose between being the queen of Black Moore and leaving the throne for the greedy uncle she has or fighting for the man she loves, the man who is suspected to being in a spell,a spell which may never be broken. A spell which may cause him his life if he tampers with it. How did he get spelled? And who’s the socerer? Remember the last existing witch was Damien’s mother,so who’s this socerer? Is she evil?

Shortly after that, Black ace appears into the room with a cunning laughter making a dry joke. Elizabeth " Sorry everyone.. I was just looking for a certain individual that came flying through here? Did anyone manage to see him? He hasn't paid for his flight tickets 🎫 (laughs) Infuriated by the rude interruption, Clement lashes out at Black ace angrily but he was quickly silenced by the young lady after coming face to face with a loaded revolver, pointed between his eyes. Clement " Are you MAD? DON'T YOU KNOW THIS IS A PRIVATE MEETING? Elizabeth" (pointing gun at Clement) Shut up you old fart! Unless that is you want me to fill your skull with lead.

MILES Dominic Black was full of shit if he thought I couldn't see past his asshole facade. I saw it in his eyes—the way he flipped like a switch, slipping from interest to indifference, from curiosity to anger. They were emotions I knew well. Except, lately, I found myself feeling nothing at all. I thought maybe I could spark something up by reading some dark romance. For a moment, I had escaped into the book. I felt. Just felt. And then, of course, the sexy asshole who would be my soon-to-be stepbrother invaded my space and yanked me out of my peace.
