This one was about some girl—Callie, who’d gotten herself mixed up with this guy, Damian, all brooding and mysterious, the type with a past that could crush him if he let it. But he was in love with her, of course. Only he didn’t say it. Not outright. No, Damian was the kind of guy who spoke in actions, not words.

Maybe at Shanice place. After sating her hunger, she hopped onto her bed. As a routine, she grabbed her novel from the table, parted the book to where she had left off last night, and began reading. She loved reading romance novels. The MLs in these books are so different than the real-life men. The love they show feels so pure. She wondered if she would ever get to experience that kind of love. The thought caused her feeling giddy. She wants her man to be possessive, a little bit obsessive, and hella romantic. Someone who will kiss the ground she walks on. Someone who will choose her and only her every time. She will be his first choice.

“Why have I never heard of this?” “I went there during summer holidays, since I needed money at that time. My father was just laid off, and my mother was down with leukemia.” Myka gave a self-deprecating smile. “Sounds cliche, doesn’t it? I somehow found myself reading back this book to try and get myself back into the story to get the motivation to write more of the sequel and it was shocking how many times I cringed reading this book back! I do forget that I finished Shy when I was 16 years old. Six years on, I think it's finally time to rewrite and update this book so I can read it without cringing so horribly at 16 year old me. I hope by rewriting this it will get me back into the story and I can continue to write more updates for Defeated. In the meantime, enjoy the rewritten version of Shy called 'Shy (Rewritten)'! It will be updated bit by bit and will not be uploaded all at once! But I hope you like it!

It feels a bit awkward and embarrassing to be caught like this by another person. Whenever I read romance novels,I always thought about this scene and couldn't understand why the heroines always tried to get off the hero's lap but now I do. It's because it actually feels so embarrassing and it's just a feeling of my own shyness. However, just like heroes do, Xander kept me from getting up and clutched me tight against him. Wait....does this mean I'm the heroine? Ah well.... As I looked at him from the corner of my eye, a thought came to my mind.
