Melting His Icy Heart

Melting His Icy Heart

She looked up, and there it was The Valenti Tower. It was a gargantuan pillar of glass and steel that seemed to pierce the Milanese sky, reflecting the morning sun like a jagged diamond. It looked intimidating, powerful, and utterly unreachable. "Okay, I'm going in. Pray for me!" Selena whispered. She ended the call, clutched her file tightly to her chest, and marched toward the grand glass entrance. She had finally made it to the location, oblivious to the fact that the "jerk" from the street was currently riding the private elevator to the very top floor.

Allie
The writing was good. Interesting twists in the story. However, I got irritated when Doris was being immature. Love how 8 years old Nora and 4 years old Max acted and spoke mature. Hated that the transition between events was not always smooth and the wrong gender was used often. Nice, happy ending.

Steamy Ice Cold Hockey Romance (Compilation)

Steamy Ice Cold Hockey Romance (Compilation)

Kai closed the distance between us like the ice wasn’t even there, skating boots clicking against the boards as he stepped off. His jersey was damp, hair sticking up where the helmet had pressed it down, and there was still a faint smear of blood at the corner of his mouth from that high stick. “Isla.” His voice was low, almost careful, like we weren’t standing in the middle of a post-game free-for-all. “You came.” My pulse did that stupid stutter again. “Sarah dragged me.”

The Alpha Protocol

The Alpha Protocol

My eyes held The tip of the iceberg holding the steel lungs. There, at the highest point, melt the ice. It wasn't the sun that opened it. The violet light of the Ödland was much too weak. Small, black cracks formed in the perfect blue of the ice. It looked like bleeding the ice. “Do you see that?” I asked quietly and lifted my rifle. Kael was right on my side, his look followed mine. From the cracks a black, viscous substance penetrated to old engine oil

Rewinding My Reaper Boyfriend

Rewinding My Reaper Boyfriend

"No solar gain." Cale made a writing motion. Elion grabbed the notebook from the floor. He handed it to Cale. Cale’s hand was shaking so badly he could barely hold the pen. He wrote two words. Hypothermia. Imminent. Elion stared at the jagged letters. "We need heat," Elion said. "I can... I can burn books. In the sink." Cale looked at the stack of books. He looked at Elion. He tapped his chest.

THE PROWL OF THE ICE

THE PROWL OF THE ICE

I hissed. He blanched and stepped aside. I burst through the doors just as Ronan was lacing up his skates. He looked up, his eyes flashing a dangerous, molten gold. "Jack? What the hell are you doing here? The game starts in five minutes." "You’re not playing," I panted, stepping close so the other players wouldn't hear. "The victim at the morgue—he was a messenger. The ice is rigged, Ronan. Not with explosives, but with Lunar Forensics Lab-grade toxins. The moment the zamboni hit the ice, it spread a mist that reacts to Alpha pheromones. If you go out there and your heart rate spikes, you’ll shift uncontrollably in front of ten thousand humans."

Wildfire and Ice

Wildfire and Ice

The specific oh of someone who has understood something completely. "Yes," Sienna said. "And the crime lord." "His name is Dante." "I know his name," Maya said. "I've been reading the news. Are you happy, Sienna. Actually happy. Not fine, not managing, not moving toward the next thing. Actually happy." Sienna stood on the corner of Meridian with the coffee under her arm and the cold December air and the blue sky and the city that had become, without her planning it, the place she was from.

Her Ice, His Rules

Her Ice, His Rules

[ Scarlett POV ] There is a specific kind of silence that settles over a room full of athletes when they've collectively decided to wait for you to fail. I'd grown up inside that silence. I'd learned to skate in it, learned to read the ice through it, learned to locate exactly where it lived in my body, just below my shoulder blades, a tightening that I breathed through until it became nothing, just air, just background. I'd been doing it since I was the only girl at my first hockey camp at age nine and every boy in my group had looked at me with that same particular expression: patient, almost kind, absolutely certain.
