Freezing Books Novels & Stories

It seriously looked like they were struggling to get free. "All of them?" Mike asked. "As they are written, yes. Much like the magic that brings us our food, these books simply vanish. It is my job to read them before finding them a permanent home here, properly catalogued." "Wait." Mike set his sandwich down. "Is that what all those boxes in the garage were?" "Yes. Those were books I hadn't gotten to yet, and Emily was kind enough to store them for me. It seems like there's been a sudden rush on the number of books published lately and I..." Sofia's eye squinted. "What do you mean, were?"

She was hoping that she could at least get a book for free since she didn’t have any crystals she could use to buy any books. When she walked into the bookstore, it was just a small room with a few shelves and among the books on the shelves she found a book she wanted. She picked up a catalogue first and read what was inside. She was allowed to pick two books for free and the rest she had to buy. Since a miracle was happening to her, she decided to take her time in order to pick two books that could help her in money making. She chose the herbs and flower introduction book; she believes that she could do well with it.

“ How could something as heavy as that fall on the floor like this ? “ said Noah confused . Aron looked around then saw that the books that Ayla got from the library on the floor . Both two copies . He opened his eyes wide in shock and hurried over to open it but it was stuck . “ Aron , what are you doing ? “ asked Noah . “ She may be in there . “ said Aron . “ In there ?……..Is that possible ? We have been searching for more than thirty minutes over this area and we haven’ found anything . “ said Noah . “ Those books pin the floor are the books I went with her to the library to get . She must be inside this refrigerator . “ said Aron trying harder to open it . Noah looked at the temperature

something. Her gaze dropped to the book, and she began to flip through the pages, her fingers moving with a quiet purpose. Finally, she settled on a particular passage, her eyes scanning the text with an intensity that piqued my curiosity. Roxy's voice was steady and clear as she read from the book, the words painting a vivid picture of the Cryomancer's abilities. "Cryomancers can control ice, including any liquid substance that can be frozen. They can also manipulate the mind, inducing hallucinations of objects, people, places, or entire scenarios. For short-term manipulation, a Cryomancer can use their magic alone. However, for prolonged influence, they often gift the target an item made o

" I froze where I stood, the blood in my veins turning to ice. Then, Caden’s voice broke the silence, sounding hoarse and drained, yet with a clarity that was chilling. "Okay." A single word. That solitary response was enough to pierce my heart like a blade of frost. Nevertheless, it pierced straight through my heart like a blade of ice. I stood there completely numb. So this was the truth. The solidarity Caden had displayed earlier, and my own proud defense of my status as his wife were nothing more than illusions. He wasn't protecting our relationship. He was negotiating a transaction by using money to purchase my peace.

"That's some smart thinking, young lady. Go ahead and make it sound good so you can actually promote us!" Holding my phone, I slowly walked deeper into the cold storage. Under the pretense of introducing our wine, I made my way toward the freezer where the two were hiding. "These freezers are our latest in-house design with an incredibly powerful flash-freeze capability. It can drop the internal temperature by 68 degrees Fahrenheit in just three minutes. Let me give the viewers a quick demonstration." As I spoke, I reached out and flipped the flash-freeze switch. The freezer began to hum loudly to life.

I’d have to remember to note the name of this wine down, so I can stock the frozen room with it. “Where are all your books though? You did say you’re obsessed with them… I don’t think I’ve ever seen you reading one before.”

She sat in front of the freezer and opened the door. Then, she reached out and gently stroked the inside wall of the freezer. "Joy, I'm here to keep you company. This time, I know what it's like to be cold. I'm sorry. I'm so, so sorry." She murmured, over and over again. Then, with finality, she curled herself up and lay down inside the freezer. Just like that seven-year-old little girl had all those years ago, the freezer door was gently pulled shut from the inside.

It was almost as if she were holding her whole world. Tears filled her eyes as bitterness washed over her. Her nose prickled, and she found it hard to breathe. Her vision seemed to go black. She didn't know how long she stayed there crouched up like that; she only moved when her phone vibrated. A notification indicated that Rachel had requested to follow her on Instagram. She approved the request, but Rachel didn't follow up with anything else. Just then, she received a text from a colleague. "I just shared an Instagram story for a giveaway, and I need people to like it. Could you help me, Dr. Snow? Please!"

Freya Day 7 of captivity One week into my stay at the cabin of hell and I had formulated a very rough plan with help from the other two girls. Thankfully a few minor beatings were all we suffered over the last few days. Our energy levels were low from the lack of food, which would mean our stamina and muscle mass would be deteriorating by the day. If we didn’t get out of here soon, I wasn’t sure we would be able to. So, on day seven I sat against the wall, trying to ignore the ache in my body from being crouched all the while and played with the thin nail I had hidden behind my back that Chloe had pulled from the wall.
