Aurora’s P.O.V He froze for a beat. Just a beat. But that hesitation spoke volumes. His mouth opened and closed once, then again, and finally, with a resigned sigh, he mumbled, “It wasn’t like that. We all know witches can’t use magic before we turn eighteen.” I crossed my arms, giving him a look that told him I wasn’t going to let that slide.

“Broomstick riding is usually something we teach during the 3(rd) year. Hermione Granger sat cross-legged on the floor of the library, surrounded by piles of books as she pored over ancient texts in search of a rare potion recipe. The silence was broken only by the soft rustling of pages and the occasional creak of a floorboard underfoot. Lost in her studies, she didn't notice the tall, dark-haired figure approaching until he was standing directly behind her. "Well, well, what do we have here?" Viktor Krum's deep voice rumbled, causing Hermione to jump and spin around. The Bulgarian Quidditch captain loomed over her, his piercing gaze fixed on her face. Hermione felt her cheeks flush under his intense scrutiny.

Twilight had descended, and with it the fresh scent of rain in the air. “What do you—” I doubled over as the wind was driven from my lungs by a jolt of magic I hadn’t seen coming. My backpack slipped off my arm and landed with a thud in the wet grass. ORION snatched my wand away. “Here she is!” I tried to suck in air, but my ribcage refused to expand. Tears stung my eyes.
