Rooh's pov: He kept walking closer to me more and more making me back away from him but stopped because of the gathbandhan (tied knot) between us. "Dur raho mujhse." I warned him showing my palm to him. (Translation: Stay away from me.)

The Accidental Bride

" Ron, Bhai?? Are you ready to swear that you will get what I want?? " " Well, you are our princess, and I will give you anything you want, why do you think that I would not give you what you want??" I asked. " Roohi?? What are you doing? Bhai, you don't have to swear on it. Roohi, You should have some faith in him." Ruhan said. " Shut up, Ruhan!! I am not asking you to do it. I want Ron Bhai to swear that he would give me what I want. I don't want him to back out later on and refuse to give me my gift. " Roohi said firmly.

Great story so far! I really like that it's clean. It's a story about Indian culture and written in India language but translated into English. I notice a few inconsistent sentence structure so I could tell I found it adorable to tell the truth.

he chuckled " this is the pack house son " " Oh, sorry " " you really know nothing, how scared you must of been growing up of yourself huh " " you have no idea sir, none at all, does Red stay in the packhouse, can I stay in room next to hers? " " so you like Roho, she does not live in the packhouse, she lives with her parents, perhaps I can have a discussion with her while you're away and we can work something out okay, but please be sure you are back here before midnight on your birthday, because the pain you will experience on that day will be the worse kind you'd ever go through in your life and you'd need someone to guide you and that would make you very weak and vulnerable for a while,

WARNING: MENTIONS OF SUICIDE. PLEASE READ AT YOUR OWN VOLITION. CLOVER After Phoenix woke up, the whole pack was relaxed again. We even had a feast that very night. Everything felt so right once more. That night, when everybody had retired to their respective homes, Phoenix and I laid awake in bed, cuddling and talking about everything and anything, “ That’s not true, I wasn’t worried about your safety, I was worried about the rogues you might have come across” Phoenix said and I scoffed, “ Don’t overestimate me. I’m not that strong, you’re the only thing that kept me going” I joked.

Viren, Sujal, and Raj followed him. “So, Vihan,” Ron said, flopping onto a couch. “How does it feel to be officially tamed?” “Tamed?” I arched a brow. Roohi smirked. “He means married.” “He means destroyed,” Viren clarified. “Once a playboy, now scheduling hospital shifts around Roohi’s skincare appointments.” Everyone burst out laughing. I rolled my eyes. “What can I say? Her glow could short-circuit a city.” Ron leaned forward. “Honestly, I should start charging for my services.”

I like the book, it has some grammar issues but it’s still very good. But I still want more, what happened with his sister who was her abuser? What happened with maverick? Was is him tha bad guy behind his sister’s abuse? I didn’t like all the abuse that Amoli went through but it developed very good

Got hooked to the story with the few chapters I read. Second chances are given to only few and some times regrets and apologies are too late. Kindness is the virtue of humans. Glad I came across this story. I'm eager to see the story progress. Appreciate the Author Work.

Frequently Asked Questions

The horror-comedy 'Roohi' is such a wild ride, blending spine-chilling moments with laugh-out-loud humor. It follows Roohi, a shy young woman who gets kidnapped by two bumbling small-town guys, Bhaura and Kattanni, planning to sell her off for marriage. But things take a supernatural turn when she becomes possessed by a vengeful spirit named Afza, who has her own twisted agenda. The film flips between eerie sequences—like Afza’s eerie demands for human flesh—and the absurd desperation of the kidnappers now terrified of their own captive.

The real charm lies in how the story subverts expectations. Bhaura and Kattanni, initially the villains, end up scrambling to save Roohi from Afza, adding layers of dark comedy. The small-town setting with its superstitious locals amplifies the chaos. What stuck with me was the commentary on how fear can turn predators into prey—and how Afza’s backstory as a wronged woman adds a bittersweet edge to the carnage.
