Rosemary arched her back, her fingers tangling frantically into my dark hair as she let out a loud, breathless cry. "Kieran... please, it's too much," she whispered, her legs trembling against my sides. I didn't stop. I slid my hands down to cup her bottom, lifting her slightly as I moved my mouth lower, finding the soft, slick heat between her thighs. The moment my tongue made contact, Rosemary convulsed. Her head fell back against the pillows, a loud, shattered moan ripping from her throat.

I opened the door just a few inches and saw a small cardboard box sitting on the carpet with no name and no return address, so I pulled it inside and opened the lid while the others crowded around me to see what was inside. Resting on a bed of white tissue paper was a single rose made of delicate glass and the stem was broken in half so it looked dead and jagged, and I knew immediately that it was a message from Elena Romano because that rose was the symbol of the investment firm we had burned down in Berlin.

“Sorry, I’m a bit out of it.” She shrugged, and opening the small door in the gate. She had no umbrella with her, I’m guessing she go out in a hurry. Who wouldn’t when their cousin was standing in front of her own home gate, and staring at her house like a psycho? “Don’t apologize. I wait in anticipation and anxiety for the other voice at the end of the line.

But there was something horribly wrong with the picture, something Alina had been noticing a lot with the objects residing within the smothering walls of her home; the rose wasn't where she had last put it. There was no mistaking it this time; Alina knew for a fact that she had put the rose on her bathroom counter last night. You're now a good man and I wish you'll continue that way." Mary got up from her knee, got her clothes, got dressed, and left his room feeling fulfilled.

And as usual when I get up from bed I get the urge to vomit but thanks to Dadi I have now remedy for it. ~ Kelvin’s pov ~ The ride to my mother’s new house was quiet… too quiet. She sat in the backseat, her fingers still loosely wrapped around Rose’s hand. She hadn’t said a single word to me or Josh since we left the prison gates. Not even a glance. Fifteen years locked up, and the first person she chose to speak to wasn’t me. It was a total stranger… my very own secretary. I didn’t know what irritated me more, was it the silence, or how naturally Rose David seemed to fit beside her, calming her, supporting her, like they’d known each other their whole lives.

“The orange ones came later. Do you ever do research, or do you just exist in a bubble of ignorance?” “I exist to keep you on your toes,” he countered with a grin. “And clearly, it’s working.” At the next stall, I reached for a bundle of fresh rosemary, and Damian leaned in close, his voice dropping into a conspiratorial whisper. “Is this rosemary fresh enough for you, or should we interrogate the farmer about its origins?” I tried to glare at him, but his nearness made it impossible to maintain the act. “If you must know, rosemary is vital for the lamb dish I’m making. So yes, I will be scrutinizing it.”
