The rogue king's eyes widened after he realized that it was Roxy who he was holding. "Hello, son." Roxy said he was about to let go of her when Roxy held him and shifted into her wolf partially and bit the rogue king to his neck. She stayed that way until the rogue king's head almost hung on his shoulder. The rogue king's body fell to the ground and I saw sadness on Roxy's face. Carter approached her and I decided not to interrupt them anymore. I looked around and saw that there were a lot of wounded warriors and almost all the rogues were dead. I approached Jacob to make sure that he's fine and I sighed in relief when I found him breathing evenly.

He immediately turned his whole body around to see Marcus was catching up his breath, both his feet safely entered the room.

Roxy said, her back resting on a wall as she smoked. "Swear to fùck, but he declined my library card...that ice prince." Trinidad muttered. She tried to talk to him in computer class but no avail. She's with a football which she's throwing up and catching. "You should be glad he even talked to you cos my tenant is crazily arrogant. I have a feeling he'll get along with you since you're academically sharp too." Roxy replied, smokes following her words out of her nostrils. "Are we going to the anniversary party tonight?" Sophia asked.

Then the last person jumped into the cave, masked in total black. He jumped down from the car bonnet, making dusts fly as he stood in front of them all. The moment he took off his mask, revealing his sweaty cold face, Rook lost his voice. One and only Roonie Banks! "Welcome, Unholy Lion, the king" Hyce hailed. "Y--ou?" Rook stuttered. It's like the rest of his members are tied cos they couldn't move. The shock is too much to dissolve obviously.

He smirked a little bit. "Hello, my name is Roxy. What is your name?" She spoke as if she were speaking in a trance. The man gave a friendly smile. "My name is Chris."

She said and spun on her heel. I couldn't hold the smile that erupted on my face, "Thank you, Trish." There were mostly women on our staff. His jaw tightened. His cold gaze turned to me. "Please, have a seat. Don't mind. We're protective toward each other," Aerial said. I knew she was holding her tongue. But her frightening look unsettled me. He held out his hand, "Marcus Valentino. You must have heard about me." he asked "Aerial, Yes. The king of construction. Recently... is interested in buying property." She shook her hand.

“Don’t do that.” “Then don’t make me,” I replied. Marcus’s voice cut through the chaos. “How touching.” Every muscle in my body tensed. He stepped forward, clapping slowly. “The exiled lover returns just in time to destroy everything.” Adrian turned cold. “What did you do?” Marcus smiled. “I finished preparing the evidence.” My heart sank. “And?” Adrian demanded. “And it goes public tonight,” Marcus said. “Unless you complete this ceremony.” My pulse raced.

"And if you value your position here, Rose, you will help these omegas clear out this room and keep your mouth shut." I stand frozen as the omegas continue their grim task, emptying drawers and shelves. I am too old to be intimidated by Roxy's threats, but I am not fool enough to think I can stop her. Not without Alpha Miles's direct intervention, and he is with Dr. Harrow now. "When you are done here," Roxy instructs the omegas, "prepare a bath for me. Rose will show you where everything is kept." She turns to me with a saccharine smile. "Will you not, Rose?" I meet her gaze head on, refusing to show submission. "Yes, Miss Roxy."

I watch them go, something like awe and reverence tightening in my chest. A man and woman appear from one of the roads up ahead. The man is tall and strong, bearded, with silver at his temples and calm brown eyes. The woman beside him is beautiful, with coppery curls and a big smile that reaches her green eyes. She’s holding a wrapped bundle of something warm, the scent of cinnamon drifting toward us. Leo smiles. “Marek. Hanna.” The man grins. “You look like hell, Leo.” “Rough night,” Leo mutters, then he gestures toward me. “This is Roxy.”
