Royal Mask Novels & Stories

We need help, and sometimes the assistance we hire ends up helping us look the part way more than we ever intended it to look. Like my cousin, Marianne, who wore the traditional New Beerenland's royal Victorian brooch and other royal garbs to a church wedding of a commoner she knew. And somehow, the media was there to cover it. She had my grandma's overcoat on her back that was handmade by the Indian women and been sent off as a gift on Christmas Eve by the country's royalty to earmark the tradition of transporting tea and coal that goes all the way back to the 1500s. It was a popular piece of history that captured the local newspaper's attention on the incoming Monday. Why did my cousin Mar

It was, before I went and ruined it, leading him on a wild goose chase across the roguelands. I pull the mask from the box. It looks like a piece of costume jewelry, like something I’d wear to a masquerade ball. Without my powers coursing through it, it looks and feels… cheap. Empty, and cold. ‘Carefully, Princess,’ Ryatt hisses into my mind. I put the mask on as fireworks crash overhead, turning the sky a vibrant, electric blue. Poppy was right about the celebration being a perfect distraction from what’s about to take place.

Only members of the Royal family could enter without any checks or formalities. Tsarayu continued walking in the direction which would lead him to the exit. Every time he noticed someone ahead of him, he would change his looks to that of a normal servant, walk by and quickly turn his face back to save the usage time of the mask. On his way to the exit, he also passed by the queen; who didn't even glance at him as she just saw a normal servant. Just to exit the palace, he had already used the mask for over 5 minutes.

Maybe he thought she was crazy because she was talking to someone and she was still wearing a mask. "Ma'am, are you all right?" He asked her when he noticed her. "Ah, yes. I'm fine. I'm sorry because I'm from the party so I haven't removed my mask yet," she replied. "Ah, is that so? Your mask is beautiful. It fits you." "I'll wash it later Manong," she said. "Oh, don't worry, ma'am, it's beautiful," he praised her. "Wow? Thank you!" "Where are you going, ma'am?"

I buried my nose in her silky hair as I tightened my arm around her waist. My business ruled the world. We're called Royal. I'm better in business compared to my younger brother, James. Truthfully, I don't allow anyone near me. I don't even remember after f****** a woman. But she's something - raw fire. Her glimpse ignited me. I hired a lady last night. So, I could get rid of her, this unwanted wedding. But now, I'm certain. I'm not letting her go.

I let the mask protect me, showing the world nothing while my heart thundered against my ribs. Later, the stifling air of the court became too much. I sought the sanctuary of the royal gardens, the moonlight turning the white roses into ghosts. I thought I was alone until I heard the soft crunch of grass. "Your Majesty," his voice came—a low, gravelly murmur that seemed to vibrate in the very marrow of my bones. "The moon tonight is particularly beautiful." I didn't turn. I kept my eyes fixed on the silver orb in the sky, the ivory of my mask reflecting its cold light. "Beauty is often a trap, Rodwar."

“You're really recording this?” “Of course,” he said. “If she summons a demon, I want the footage.” I rolled my eyes and leaned forward, choosing five cards. My fingers hovered over each one like they could burn me. She took them from my hand gently, one by one, and flipped the first. It showed a woman wearing a crown, but the crown was cracked. Fire burned in the background while the woman smiled at something we couldn’t see. She nodded slowly. “Queen of Masks. It means you’ll wear many faces before you find your true one. You’re in danger of losing yourself… or becoming someone you never planned to be.”

After he left, Selena gathered her things and prepared to make her way to the harem. "Prince Nathaniel is truly devoted to you, my lady. But I cannot understand. He is handsome enough, so why does he always wear a mask?" Sally whispered anxiously. It was well known that Wilfred would never entrust the kingdom to a son with a defect. Whether lame or disfigured, it would tarnish Aurensia's image. The Obsidian Monarch always wore a mask, leaving many to assume his appearance was ruined. Wasn't that detrimental to his own progress?

“I haven’t seen anything or anyone kids, now you 7 need to leave because you aren’t allowed back here." “-The Masked Queen is a brand built by the Slim-Jim agency and from my sources, the image alone costs twenty million dollars, and with L.K being the representative it’s ten million dollars on the twenty million. That’s a lot of money to lose people!” Her loud exclamation can be heard through the speakers so I cover it in panic. “Hearing that you were able to get rights over your brand makes me curious how you did it, Slim-Jim isn’t an agency that would like to lose that much money without putting up a damn hard fight. The world is curious L.K, how the hell did you do it?”

However, when he thought of the fact that Ryder had made this, especially for him, his heart softened, and the dissatisfaction vanished immediately. While Ryder put on the coat and boots, Jake fixed the mask on his face. The mask resembled a ball's mask. It was black with delicate ornaments made of clay and painted with golden paint. The mask covered most of the upper half of Jake's face, including half of his cheeks, but his jaw and lips were out in plain sight. Ryder had spent a lot of time on the internet searching for masks to find the right model, so it wouldn't be inconvenient for breathing and speaking, but she couldn't deny that this model was also chosen for other selfish reasons.
