Thalia's Ashen Fate

Thalia's Ashen Fate

"Why? And more importantly, how do we get out?" "The distortion is likely a symptom of the ruin's decay," he explained, his eyes, lit by my magic, scanning our surroundings. "But I don't believe this is one of your 'activated' ruins. Those are sealed, usually marked by statues standing sentinel. This place feels open, broken... porous. The creatures weren't guardians; they simply wandered in." He paused, his gaze dropping to the floor ahead. "Watch your step." The ground was a treacherous mess of rubble and shattered stones. I tried to lift my leg over a large chunk of rock, but my whole body felt weighted with lead. I swayed, a wave of dizziness washing over me.

How to Avoid Death on a Daily Basis

How to Avoid Death on a Daily Basis

“You don’t see that, do you?” It was a fair cop. “No. It’s a ruin. Barely standing. And there are a lot of skulls all over the place.” “A lot,” said Maurice. “A lot, a lot,” added Dudley. There was more confused muttering. “Some kind of illusion?” asked the Elder.

Cultivation with a System in the Modern World

Cultivation with a System in the Modern World

"The ruins are believed to hold powerful relics, remnants of ancient civilizations. We need to explore these sites thoroughly but cautiously. There are dangers within—both known and unknown." General O'Malley continued, "You’re not the only team sent to explore these ruins, but you are the only one with the clearance for the deepest chambers. Make no mistake, the dangers in these ruins are real, and only the elite can handle what lies ahead." General O'Malley continued, his tone growing more serious. "We have confirmed that the Ancient Ruins you're exploring belonged to Cyrus West, the right-hand man of Prince Egon himself. This makes the ruins not only a treasure trove of lost relics but al

A Deal with Desire

A Deal with Desire

He deciphered faded inscriptions on broken walls, clues that led him deeper into the heart of the ruined city. Finally, after hours of exploration, he reached a towering structure that still defied the ravages of time – the Royal Palace of Sylanor. Its obsidian walls, etched with intricate symbols, gleamed faintly in the weak sunlight filtering through the dust-choked sky. With a surge of hope, Xal'dar pushed open the massive bronze doors, their hinges groaning in protest. Inside, the palace was shrouded in perpetual twilight. Cobwebs draped the crumbling pillars, and dust motes danced in the stagnant air. An oppressive silence hung heavy, broken only by the rhythmic dripping of water somewh

Blind Fate: The Beta's Regret

Blind Fate: The Beta's Regret

And there Ruin goes, making me forget about my problems, if only for a second. *** Sitting in the back seat of the SUV, the memories of the afternoon in the meadow bring a smile to my face. Ruin, with his rough exterior and gentle heart, had a way of making me forget the world, forget the anxieties that lay waiting back at home. The warmth of the sun, the gentle breeze, his laughter mixing with mine—it was a respite I didn’t know I needed.

Seriously, does this author ever miss? The answer is no, obviously! Another amazing story that was hard to put down & left me wanting for more. I’ve loved every story by this author & waiting for anything new is truly excruciating, dramatic or not lol Amazing job as always, author, until next time:)

This novel is incredible and unique. Building on the Tarr universe, and bringing back the Horsemen, you will be left each chapter hanging for more. CJ and Ruin’s chemistry is palpable and the unique circumstances surrounding them have you cheering for them! Check out her other amazing work too!

The executioner and the Alpha King

The executioner and the Alpha King

“Dust mites and a tetanus shot?” “Maybe an ancient ghost or two if we’re lucky,” Theo adds without looking at her. Sonia gives him a look. “I’ll scream and let them kill you first.” “Charming,” he mutters. I ignore their bickering, too focused on the pull beneath my ribs. There’s something here, humming low in the air like a forgotten melody—just out of reach but growing louder as we cross into the heart of the ruins.

Bad Boy Alpha

Bad Boy Alpha

The frost on the ruins had thawed, and lay as slippery patches of water, and these were steaming, as though the earth would still do something about the fire. “She was here,” Killian said gently, kneeling by a fallen rune stone half buried in the earth. His tones were constricted, his talons close under the skin. “Recently.” Ashley was hovering over the ruins of a doorway, her brows drawn together, the eyes glowing dim violet as she surveyed the space. I stepped into the ruins slowly, heart pounding. The destruction was recent. Violent. The magical residue still sparked against my senses—uncontrolled and desperate. This wasn’t an attack.

Married To A Sex Freak

Married To A Sex Freak

The air in the ruin became a thick, stagnant soup of limestone dust and the metallic tang of old blood. I pressed my spine against the jagged edges of one of the concrete slabs, my lungs burning with the effort of keeping my breathing silent. Beside me, Caramen was a statue made of shadow and grief. We had heard them before we saw them. The heavy, rhythmic thud of combat boots against the debris-strewn floor—a sound that had become the metronome of our terror.

"What is that? Is that blood?" "No," Marcus murmured, leaning down until his nose was almost touching the rug. His weathered hands trembled slightly as he held his staff steady, the light casting eerie shadows across his lined face. "It's not blood. It's worse. The dust here hasn't settled naturally. It's been pushed outward in a perfect circle, about six feet wide. There's a magic residue left here, Prince Ronan. Thick residue. It's still warm."

Shirley Sarchett
I usually don’t do reviews however I feel like this book may get overlooked. I didn’t know how I would feel reading this book at first but the author has a fantastic way of writing which is easy to read and picture. I think the romantic relationships in this book is more tasteful than I expected!
Beowulf
I am enchanted by this novel. Articulated to inspire your imagination. If the author continues on this epic writing journey then we have a top author blooming before our eyes. Well done & please continue with this beautiful tale.

The Billionaire's Hidden Vows

The Billionaire's Hidden Vows

The ruins of Echo’s heart spread around them like the skeletal remains of a dead cathedral. Walls of black glass jutted upward like the ribs of some long-buried beast, cracked and glittering in the broken light of storm clouds overhead. The air reeked of ozone and scorched metal, the silence beneath it broken only by the slow groan of fallen beams, the faint hiss of dying wires sparking in the dust.
